hey mark here's an idea why not whip up a tasty Guinness infused Irish Stew Gaelic meat pie?
you know with the cylinder type pastry as opposed to mini pie plate type...
or a Roast leg of lamb with mint jelly, taters and peas?...
I'm makin' myself hungry here...
gotta learn how to make that cylinder shaped pastry...

Hahaha.... Fish Filet's, anyone? "NOOOOO, WE WANT STEAKS!" HAHAHA. jk... Sounds good, I'M GAME! And, well, I'm REALLY looking forward to a trip that's not all wheeling, as Grego was hinting at, lol. ALSO looking forward to a trip that IS mostly wheeling, with lots of hot springs involved and such as well.
Thanks alot, Richard... I'm really happy, but wait til you see them totally finished. I've decided to change up a couple things. The door will be risen, but not dramatically... just for sealing purposes and for REALLY secure closure. Also, the hinges I'm going to use are fairly taught spring loaders... that will be nice. Will also have a chain keep on them, etc. All that stuff is things I've had for a while. CAN'T WAIT to finish them!
NO PROBLEM, grab a couple sheets of Birch Ply and GET OVA HEAHHH! haha.

But if the truck is done by the time u go then I'm all in. It'll give me a chance to try out the SFA, lift, 4.88's, and dual Spartan Lockers.
Wooo just saying that makes me anxious lol

They are the Nitro OMEmu for 1"-2.5" lift. I have the box somewhere. But if u call ARB-USA they will tell u what is perfect for ur ride. They perform beautifully, I'm plent happy worn them. Lol pricey, but just the OD measurement of the rods/shafts, compared to many? HUGE! Lol
Dis, I can't say enough how impressed I am with the ARB/OMEmu products, especially the shocks and stabilizer. The stabilizer? Lemme tell ya, as CO mentioned, u can hit trails hard, hit a big pot hole that, well, with a crappy stabilizer, you would surely be grateful for, ... yet FEEL, and with the OMEmu HD one, the wheel isn't jerked from your hand hardly at all.... It really stops that obstruction or hole from being able to "FORCE" movement of the wheel, rapidly. Thus, why is called a 'steering damper', right? Haha. .
Not really any hassle, and thats from a 2wd guy that can't hardly touch anything under it without putting his on stands
Night and day difference between the old worn down and new ones. It'll glide right over manhole and other street crap.
Not to answer for him of course. But it's on my list of front end stuff that needs done before I go for a full alignment
Go for it bud,.... worthy product of a lil more cabbage! And no problem on sharing ie feelings on ur practical experience.
Hahaha. .... totally cracked me up!
I call dibs on the one top right... been a hella long time since I quaffed a green brew... may have to pay a visit to a college establishment again...

Hey Paul.... Always do my incredible corned beef and cabbage.... The people want what they want, ..... and when itcomes to what i end upcooking.....the people get what they want, lol. I also do rack of lamb, lemon & rosemary asparagus and herbed douphinois potatoes. Mint Jam is from my own mint.... Always have some around. Made ostrich last year as well for a friend.
Here's a simple sausage roll recipe if you want something to hold you over for now. Some great Irish and Scottish restaurants here in L.A. County.

yeah that ones on the side of a line goin into the heater core i was thinking up near the heater control valve itself HIGH above the lines where air would go to like a T then a short piece of hose an then the heater control valve that way the air will go into the T an can be drained off
burp the baby you have the head up belly down ... LOL

Question. When you painted the valve cover and intake chamber, did you put any protective coat?
I used high heat paint on mine and I was wondering if any protective coat goes on. I'm in the process of putting my motor back together and it's getting dirty. If I use any products to clean it, it'll eat the paint and I'd hate to try to touch things up once everything is together.
Thank for all your pics and great work, it definitely helped me in the process of putting things back together on my project!

Well most Fez are red velvet with a tassle... at least all those I've seen in person and in movies but I see the resemblance... girls don't usually wear those anyway...t'would be a big no no in the culture...
on the other hand it does look a little like the stylized fedoras chorus line dancers sometimes wear... so I would say grampa was on the money...

Haha, Oh yeahhhhhh, you're right! Not sure why I got fedora on the mind! Hehe.
Well considering I've already begun restoring these axle parts and leaf springs to prep for the actual install I am thinking if I at least have this stuff accomplished with in the next two weeks then we should be ready to start the SAS job sooner then expected. I wanna have that front axle completely restored and painted before we even begin to hack off the IFS off my front end. Lets hope the job is done by the time you go.
And btw your grand daugher is getting so big!!! Too cute for her own good lol. I bet she's gonna get away with a lot of trouble as she gets older lol.

Yeah, on the valve cover, intake plenum, oil pan and block I used Alumicote and Ford Red hugh temp engine paints and cured them according to every instruction and then heat and cool in cycles worn engine/cam break in, and so on. EVEN THEN, after a few days curing and the heat and cool cycles, it got touched and smeared in a small spot. It's just takes quite a while to fully cure and hardened to where it can be touched and handled even when hot. Now, however, I can clean it very easily using the method I've shared before, which is just a simple toothbrush, warm soapy water, and then a rinse. If you're getting it dirty before they had a chance to cure, its possible I guess that could remain as stains... I'm just not sure how long your paint had a chance to dry, etcetera. As far as a top coat? Nah, I just use gloss hi temp engine paint, but only after hot tanking the parts and then immediately air drying followed by denatured alcohol. Bare aluminum can react too hot water if you let it sit on there, and it's best to get it completely free of any residue before you paint. A little sandblasting doesn't hurt either but you want to be careful not to overdo it, and make sure that you do not touch those parts with your bare hands after you clean them as I mentioned, because they will pull every bit of oils out of whatever touches them. So slap on some latex gloves when you grab them out of the hot tank or after cleaning them with degreaser, and the rest, and keep them on while handling that type of aluminum and tell you are done painting. If you find but there are multiple stands on there and you're just not happy with the results, just throw some Jasco stripper on there, and start over, right? best wishes on that man!

the color difference on the carpet mark is cause the nap of the carpet is running the opposite direction than the others i bet ya turn the panel upside down an it'll look the same color
just spotted your polk speakers on flea bay (one new one used) 75 for a pair buy it now if anyone's interested if i wasn't THIS [ ] close to starting my engine reassembly where i might need a part or something (i know i need new key's for the keyways) id snag them for future upgrade
she just looks stellar definitely makes the back area a lot better

Hmmm, I wonder how corned ostrich would taste...
Just checking in to see if you'd gotten the leafs in yet, been busy "vacationing" at my parents in OR. All the details in your rig, it's just too much. Looking good.

OMEmu CS009R AND Greasable 1.5" Shackles Mods.... : About to begin.......

*****************************************
I really need to finish up some other things in the back as well, like swapping out the rear window motor, possibly slapping in some new rear window seals, checking over all the wiring, wiring in the hidden constant hot rear window switch, running deck lamp constant hot, and a few other things... But, I really don't want to wait on this too long, meeting the Old Man Emu Springs and greaseable 1.5 inch shackle kit. I also need to swapping the new wheel cylinders , and then bleed the whole system again . I also need to stop by my alignment shop and have him do it touch up , as it's just a tiny bit off.
I'm really hoping that all of the leaf springs hanger bolts and so forth come out without any issues , but I guess 1 should always be prepared for 1 or 2 of those suckers to be stubborn! Hahaha. Should be pretty straightforward, and I'm guessing I will probably have to relocate my LPSV as well. Maybe add some extended brake lines? I'll be pushing around 3.5 inch lift in the rear, and my guess is that I'm off around 2 and a half inches from stock with the 12 inch X 125 pound spring. I mean, it's brought me up alright and 3", the coil has..., but that was over the saggy rear measurement... I'm sure I will have a little rake if I use the shackles, but that's okay, I will live I suppose. He he . They look like really good quality products.
But I have a question... The greasable shackle kit came with its own bushings.... They seem to fit exactly the same in the Old Man Emu spring eyes, but should I just run all the Old Man Emu bushings? I have all 12 bushings Old Man Emu, and I have the 8 from the greasable shackle kit as well... Just curious what everyone thinks on that. I'm not sure I would've been able to just buy the front bushings from Old Man Emu... And now I have basically 8 more than I really need if you think about it . I'm not sure if the greasable shackle bushings are different in anyway but I will find out. Any ideas on this would be appreciated! Thanks
