Dreaming at work... pasted an ext cab over my truck to see how it'd look. I'd love to do this someday and bob the front of the bed.

Good find. No more black lab crammed in the passenger seat.

Thats a great deal on the topper. So much more versatile now that you have space to put stuff/dog.

Cool Tuttle Creek Trip

What's up guys!? The wife and I got back from our first trip to Tuttle Creek ORV in Kansas. Also the first time we've officially wheeled the truck. I didn't see any other Yotas out there. We had a great time! Although, I can see how wheeling with friends and their rigs would be even more fun we still enjoyed ourselves. Just couldn't attempt the more sketchy things in fear of breaking something or getting stuck with no help. Since I don't have a winch yet. YET. The Spartan locker did not disappoint. Here's some pics:

We drove into the creek and followed it up for a while. Stopped for a photo op.

I feel like the pics don't do it justice. Maybe everything looks bigger from the drivers seat!

So wheeling around I definitely snagged my stupid low hanging back bumper on stuff. That's gotta go, and I need to fab my new bumper for protection and better clearance. Also I need to add a leaf or two in the rear so I can use my camper again and also gain some height. I'm thinkin BJ spacers too.

I'm actually supposed to go back there this upcoming weekend with my dad. He has a Jeep Rubicon. Can't wait to get back and also to do more upgrades on the truck! Anyways... hope y'all liked the pics.

Looks like it was a ton of fun! Can't wait to get my rig out in the wild again.

How long was the wheeling trip?

Short trip. Went down Saturday it's a 2 hour drive. Wheeled around exploring the area for 5 hours. Then back to the campsite for beer, food, and a fire. Good time. Got back home at 4pm today.

I got the bed 1" body lift on today. Didn't start on the front because I'd like to take the truck to work.

Had to weld tabs on the bolts because as most of you know you can't get a wrench up in there. Worked great.

And a picture of it all tightened down.

Looking forward to finishing it up tomorrow. Progress!!

Tuttle creek is one of the places I am dying to go to since we live so close. I just need to find the time to go there. We should plan a trip with a few of us. I know Kornhuskerwizard, kelvinb, and myself would be interested in a wheeling trip.

Its going to look good with the body lift and bj spacers. If you want add-a-leafs check out pro comp. I just ordered a set for one of my students abotu a month ago from Summitracing.com. They were only 36$ before shipping. Came with both leafs, and centering pins. shipping was also really cheap. I believe everything was less than 50$

Also, I had to make new bed bolts the last time I had a bed off of my old 91 reg cab. I had to cut and totally destroy the stock ones to get the bed off.

I'll check into the pro comps. Upullit wants $100 for a pair of leaf springs but thats 2 full packs. See, one of my leafs broke in half so I don't trust it holding my camper right now. Upullits probably the better deal, but u gotta go get em. I'm just gonna bring a battery powered sawzall or something and cut em off. :-) It sure would be nice to wait on the couch for a box with nice new leafs tho!

Haha. I hear you there. I'll find the parts that we used from summit so you can see what it is.

If you want, I'm heading to the u-pull it in Omaha this weekend. I could help you out if you need it. I know kornhuskerwizard and kelvinb have been talking about heading there also.
