Im trying to go hardcore on overtime in order to buy some kick a$$ parts for the truck. This means 4 hrs of sleep then a 17 hr shift, rinse, and repeat. Im talkin sliders, rock rear bumper, bud built skid plate, maybe my detroit locker. But would it be a waste of money to put in a detroit with my 4:10's if I upgrade gears later? Is a detroit compatible on 4:10, 4:88, etc?

Putting on the new 16" rims and 245/75r16's. I sprayed so paint on the leafs and since I dont have center caps I covered that area too.

I think they look badass and Im one step closer to being tuttle creek ready. I think Im still leaning towards a rear detroit or grizzly locker. Despite it being my DD.

Just ordered trail gear 58" rock sliders! I shopped all over online looking for the best deal, and Im glad I did. Ebay, and every other site I checked charged $40-$50+ for shipping. Frontier4x4.com offered the $179 price and $10 flat rate shipping. $189 to my door! I dont think you can beat that. So if ur slider shopping now u know where to go!

Update: Met a cool local dude who wheels a badass yota and has a shop. So we got the sliders on. He welded em up for me.

I painted them today with this rustoleum product. Its awesome because it sprays well upside down and in any other position. It said black but came out more gun metal gray if u ask me.

Been a while since I've posted. Winter sucks. But I got a package in the mail. Thought I'd share what Im doing. Im getting clear corner lights and moving the turn signal bulbs there with LED replacements. Then where the old turn signals were will be LED running lights. And finally I'm adding a look like the ford raptor with 3 mini LED's on the upper grill. Heres a concept design pic.

Havent made progress on the lights but I am in the middle of tackling the spartan locker install. So far its been a huge pain in the ass. Maybe 5 hours total and I still cant get the pins out to remove the parking brake or the bolts out of the rear driveshaft... I got pissed and cut the rest of the driveshaft bolts off. Still have to punch em out but thats tomorrow. Seriously tho I hate seized bolts so damn much!!!!!!!!

I saw a video of a spartan install where you didnt have to pull the carrier and was hoping it would be that easy. Wrong.

In fact you must pull off the ring gear as well. Right now I'm stuck here because the little pin won't come out allowing me to pull that rod to remove the spider gears. But I'm learning alot as I go and I'm super close to getting the locker in.

I'm at work now, but will hopefully get some time b4 bed to try and get that pin out.

Locker is in! Feels good to get it done finally. Tomorrow I will put everything back together. Ive got to repack and add a leaf to my rear springs before I can go camping/fishing friday. Even though it doesnt seem like anyone is still following my build I'll still keep updating with my progress.

Cheers.

Oh, someone IS alive out there. In that case check out my resr plate bumper I'm designing. I found a pic of one I liked and edited the pic. Expanded the metal panels, added tow hitch, lights, and D rings.

Great looking truck. I never realized you are from Lincoln, NE. I live in CB Iowa. And a few other buddies on here live in Tecumseh and Lincoln.

I like the bumper design!

I did realize this. I am scatter brained this morning.

We still should meet up now that the weather is getting warmer

Gizler yah that'd be cool. Literally none of my friends are into off-road so meeting more like minded friends would be great. I peeked at your 4runner, that thing is slick!

Thanks 22r88.

Great looking ride! You made my day when I saw the rustoleum hammered spray paint. I thought I was going to have to take my roll bars in to get that texture coat, but now I know I can do it at home! lol. Where did you get the 3 amber LED light for the grille? Thinking I may go that route too.
