LED lights were from ebay. I decided to use 2 of them for my rear motorcycle turn signals instead of on the truck. I need to find 3 mini flat 3 led pieces to get the look right on the yota. That's on the backburner for now.

I went to the junkyard for leaf springs and came back with 2 doors.

They're in really good shape. I wanted them because of the swing out front section (idk the real name) because I dont have A/C. Eventually they'll make their way onto the truck.

WINGS (aka 2-55s)! lol, I miss those things. My old 81 F150 had them. Nice find on the doors. No dents!

So... I had only jumped into the middle of your thread when I saw the paint, I just finished reading your entire build, and your camping platform in the bed is exactly what I have been planning to do with mine! Except it would be made of steel or aluminum... only for the purpose of holding my 4wheeler up over the wheel wells. currently the tires of the 4wheeler dent the crap out of the wheel wells. With a raised platform, I would have more storage under the 4wheeler! I am glad I saw yours though, I see it is possible with wood, which is still not out of the question for what I want to do. Great Build man!!

Gosh Im doing so many things simultaneously between the truck, motorcycle, and house. I feel crazy. I haven't mentioned it b4 I don't think, but Im making my own 1" body lift and I already got a shipping notice for a 2" shifter extension. For some reason I didn't feel like cutting and welding my own extension. The one I bought will look real clean tho. I always fealt like my shifters were too low so netting a 1" raise in shift height after the BL will be nice.

Great score on the doors. Definitely worth the money. Cannot find them around here for that price and looking that good.

Put on the silicone gasket and lightly tightened it on the housing. Currently relaxing on the couch for an hour while it cures before I fully tighten it in. Up to 42° outside.

Spartan locker is in!! Honestly its funny I was kind of surprised that it worked straight away no problems. Doing it all myself and all... but good lord is it AWESOME!!! I did as much urban offroading as I could without getting the cops called. Didn't even hafta throw it in 4wd I just tore up everything rear alone. The only issue I'm having is with no weight in the bed there isn't enough resistance to make the locker disengage in a turn. We tested it per spartan instructions and it did ratchet so I know it will disengage, but ya my dad thinks its just too light back there. Anyways... SUPER PUMPED!!! Can't wait for tuttle creek orv possibly next weekend!!

You have to have enough speed going into the corner so you can engage the clutch pedal and coast around allowing the locker to ratchet. Sometimes on a left you can give it some gas but a sharp right and she'll bang.

It's going to pop and bang a lot especially in parking lots. People will look at your truck funny.

You are about to get more stuck than you've ever been stuck before as well.

Be more cautious in the snow. The ass end will kick out so easy now. It's rad for parking-lot doughnuts. Not so rad on an icy corner when you're going too fast. It's best to take it a little more easy than normal until you get used to it during those winter months or rainy days.

Rotate your tires more often. The locker is going to rip up your rear tires much faster now.

In my opinion with my Spartan all the nags on road are worth the penalty in the bush.

I've enjoyed mine but it's time to upgrade to a selectable. I'm on to my next build phase and I'm selling all my mods for an FJ62 axle swap. Leafs first then coils later when I want to rebuild. This way I've tried all versions.

I look forward to your test photos. Go get her bogged somewhere.

Yep. Mix between Crash Overide and Acid Burn.

Been my online alias since AOL came around.

There is a little bit of "play" I've noticed with the locker. It seems it takes a bit to transfer power from the ring gear to the locker and axles. Only noticeable from a stop. Anyone else experience this?

Awesome man. I have a ratcheting locker in the rear and it took some getting used to. I usually stay on the gas through a turn or stay off the gas through the turn to let it disengage. Otherwise it kicks in like a mule

Build it yourself only a couple parts you'd have to buy, but on another note keep up the good work can't wait to see what's next
