We just found a DXF file for a Bracket today. Not sure what caliper its for though.

You should still take some measurements and we can make a file. "CBO Custom Rear disc bracket"!!

Yesterday I swapped the rear transfer case flange, bolted on the cv driveshaft, added rear diff oil, and pulled it out of the garage. Drove it around.

And here is a pic showing the tummy tuck. Once that gas tanks gone it'll be real nice.

So the little test run was good. It told me the caliper brackets are still rubbing the rotors. So I'll be pulling them and doing more grinding. Maybe weld a back plate for more rigidity. It has to be bending a bit towards the rotor when it clamps down. Still some work to do before its maiden voyage.

I'm just reusing the muffler the truck came with. It's rusted bad but no holes yet. It really fits in with the whole "broke dad build" theme for this rig. Put a turn down pipe on the back. I still have to put on the hangers.

It goes from the header pipe to 2" then 2.25" out the back of the muffler. I was told I cant swing hammers or use power tools anymore because the lil dude is sleeping, so I had to quit for the night. I think I breathed in too much welding fumes. Aaaaarrgh.

After work and before the storm I stopped at the jy for driveshaft bolts and door bolts. I've found that door bolts work as shifter bolts too. Quarter sized hail? Hmmm..

With wife and kid in the basement I went out to work. I dont like to weld with the garage door closed so I put the interior back together just to do something.

And eventually got to weld on the exhaust hangers.

Thanks to mother nature I'm behind schedule. Will try to make the front driveshaft, bleed brakes, fix caliper brackets tonight.

We missed the Hail and tornadoes up here. Just quite a bit of rain. Glad you guys made it through ok.

What are you planning to do with the Front Driveshaft. Square? Should be pretty straight forward to make. I unfortunately will not be able to make the Poker run this weekend. We are having our boys birthday party on Saturday.

However......I will start having some time on Saturdays. We need to go to that place in Ashland you were telling me about.

Only got one half of the driveshaft done. Sleep time!!

(Side note: if you hit "quote" it'd be cool if you delete the pics unless you're referencing a specific photo. This just prevents unnecessary double posts of photos, and keeps the build thread cleaner. Thanks!)

Sad news. Not making it to the poker run this weekend. my buddy and spotter cancelled on me, and the rest of my friends are lame. Besides that I bled the brakes yesterday and it still stops absolutely terribly. I never fixed the power steering. Also heard metal rubbing metal so if its the caliper brackets yet again I'm going to start from scratch with 3/8" and maybe use a 3 hole mount. I'm bummed out cuz i worked so hard and almost made it but honestly the deadline was stressing me out. Oh well.

Sorry to hear buddy. I understand the frustration.

There will be other trips.

We should do a Saturday trip somewhere close. You need to wheel that thing!

I hear that. I pulled off the rear calipers and surprisingly the brackets did not rub the rotor. So those are actually good. It might be the transfer case output flange cuz the dust shield part was bent. I bent it back a bit but thats probably whats rubbing.

Started tinkering with the runner again. Trying to stop the tires from rubbing the body.

I cut off the pinch weld and even hammered it in a bit. The tire seems to rub on what little piece of fender I have down there at the bottom.

So im gonna have to trim that part more. And heres a pic of the xfr case skid plate on.
