Thanks for the heads up. That is a big savings. If I bought now I wouldn't install them right away. I have other more pressing mods; like restoring 4WD! I am so busy with my day job and trying to build more kits I have no time. Maybe I could drop the 4 Runner off at all pro and have them do the rear spring install.

I had the Fordota on the All Pro RTI ramp a few months back and it scored over 700. I think the 4 Runner with the combo lift and the LT rear springs could go much higher. Of course without 4wd and lockers it wouldn't. Too much stuff on the to-do list, and I am running out of money.

Selling my solid axle soon. Still a toss up if I wanna get the Blazeland kit for $1200 or bite the bullet and get a Total Chaos kit. Either way both kits need shock hoops, fiberglass, T100 axles and shocks and torsion bars added on. I guess I could get away with running a 4" lifted shock in the stock mount for now but I think I'm still gonna wanna upgrade eventually. My problem is that I gotta spend an extra $200 being in Canada for the core charge. I doubt I could receive my kit, install it and have my cores shipped back within 30 days. Not to mention I've had stuff held up for over 2 weeks just at the border.

Write me at blazelandn8@yahoo.com and I'll work out the details "off line" from the 4 Runner build thread. I may make some exceptions to the core charge time out rule. I have the ability to offer a case by case exception on such matters.

Nate, would this kit make 33/10.5's look tiny? I'm about to buy new tires and would like to upgrade my suspension in the spring, but i don't want to get a nice new set of tires if i'm going to want new ones in a few months. What size tire would you recommend with stock brackets up front? I'd be willing to get some used winter tires in the mean time.

in my opinion with that size tire you could build a true mini truck .i would stay with a oem 6.5 inch wheel with 4.5 inch back spacing. i have a freind that runs that set up on a 88 short bed with torsions turned a tinny bit and longer shackels the truck rides out awsome.He is wanting more front suspension also.I would go for it.

The red 4 runner in our group, in the previous photos, runs 31x10.50 tires with a standard Blazeland LT. I ran them for a while on my 4 runner (see attached photo) My rig also had a 1" body lift in this photo. With a standard Blazeland LT kit 31s work well, but if your planning on a combo kit (Long Travel w/ 4" drop bracket) 31s will be too small.

Im going with 32's or 33x10.50's when I do my truck, whenever that is haha. I gotta get an engine for it now and tracking down a decent one that is a decent price is hard up here.

Blazed up Fish Creek wash yesterday. Put 50 miles on the odometer at 14 psi. Everything worked great. We came across this burned out junker but with out 4WD and no locker all I could manage was to get a front wheel on the hood.

In other news I bought this 1985 xtra cab. Just too good a deal to pass up.

Oh god NO! That would be a hell-a-lot of work. Besides, I got the identical truck just a year newer with a factory installed IFS swap!

Went to the Kartek Holiday 200 this past weekend out in Barstow. Brent was racing his '70 Blazer. We Pre-Ran the course on Friday. The 4 Runner held up fine but the rear leaf spring alignment clamp was still hitting the gas tank even after hammering the seam over. Rear Blocks suck, they allow the spring to shift laterally causing the contact with the tank. I need to get on the 6" lift LT All-Pro springs. Maybe for Chrismas? I helped pitt the Race on Saturday. Met a bunch of cool guys with the Solo Motorsports crew. The Blazer was DNF about half way through with a blown ring in one of the pistons.

looks like there's some cool suspension going on in the rear and at least a nice shock up front.... got some better pics?

Did a couple of mods over the weekend. Pulled off the "Coil Over Assist" Race Runner shocks and stock T-Bars and went back to the Trailmaster shock with the SAW 25mm Torsion Bars. Needed the SAW Coil overs for the Desert truck. I had to make a bracket to bolt into the UCA cross shaft because my factory tabs were cut off years ago for the Downey Double shock hoops.

The other thing I did was install the T-100 Anti-Sway bars. I had to modify the Pro-Comp anti-sway bar drop Brackets. I also had to use the T-100 sway bar bushings and brackets as the sway Bar diameters are different. T-100 is thicker but it is hollow! As far as the ride, it handles AWSOME on the steet. The body roll is greatly reduced. If your driving paved mountain roads it allows you to takes the corners with much more confidence. Anyone know of some direct fit quick disconnects? I think Northwest Offroad used to make some?

Why a T100 bar? Fitment issues with the stock one or just wanted something stiffer?
