picking up a trans jack today!

just cleaned the LCE K&N intake today.. interested to see how my mpg will be. Before I cleaned it driving 65mph all highway i managed 21mpg...

I still need to contact Marlin Crawler and find out how interested they are in helping me with my HD trans they built... I don't have a puller so it seems like ill be whipping out my wallet to tear it apart.

Wow, I can relate. I never called that MORON machinist again, at a certain point, remember? lol... I know, this is different.. But if they built it, you kept it full and it grenade'd... Sounds like something that, as a vendor, I'd want to honor anything that COULD be considered under warranty. Especially being one of MY transmissions, right? Yeah, then there's "I don't wanna hear 'no' " lol....

Can you fill me in again.... did you buy this trans fairly new/newly rebuilt, or did you have it rebuilt? And when, if so?

Dangit, ...that's what I thought. Sorry man.... doesn't it have a part number from Marlin though? Would they be able to look it up? Figure you've tried that already... Sorry if I missed it. Maybe they don't transfer warranty with owners, too... Not sure on all that. Keep us informed. I'm very curious as to why it failed, whether it was rebuilt 10 years ago or not. I mean, mine is 25 yrs old, original, and while it is a lil PITA with 4th, it's no problem dry shifting.... And that's all after running dry for at least a few days. NOT saying they don't do really nice Trans Rebuilds/upgrades. Just kinda surprising, that even though you've kept it full, etc... it's acting up. Is it possible it got filled with some Syncromesh or something 'AGAINST THE RULES'?

Hmmmm.... Roger have anything on that?(4crawler)...

I'm SURE the 4Runner we just saw in the back at Blinn Ave. South Pick-Your-Part yard had the tailgate... and the glass, actually... BUT.... I didn't look at the face(where the tumbler would be).... Are you saying the portion beyond the tumbler, .... ? Or you need that whole apparatus? Maybe try " www.japanesetruckdismantlers.com "?

thanks chef! i already took the switch out, the key passes through the tumbler, and when it allows it to turn, it turns the switch.. the shape of the switch basically has 2 notches, one for left and right. the notch for... left i believe broke off and is gone. so turning it right is smooth and window goes down.. but left is crunchy/goey and has no effect.

Ahhhhh, going LT, eh? Toyo slap that bug on you too? hahaha.... Looks sick! And, .... really nice on the long washboard riddle roads up in the sierras, too

Sounds awesome... You doing T100 CV's and so forth? I almost grabbed some, from a T100 at Pick-Your-Part, the other day... BUT, one was bent from a bad wreck of what looks like he was t-boned into the front pass. wheel Even if I didn't use them... I'm sure someone would rather have OEM CV's that'd been rebooted than Autozone or something?

Let the festivities begin.

I've got the exhaust and drive shafts out of the way.. clutch slave disconnected.
Disconnected starter, and draining the fluids, next up... Cross member!

Painless so far.
