Do it!! That would make my day.

How comes your hi-lift mount? I haven't thought of a way to lock it securely yet, curious as to what you found.

I have a switch made that is a picture of the Death Star and says Death Star beam.... I think that's what I'm going to do for it.

Ya I thought of a mount that locks it really we'll and I have it almost completely built. But now that I have it built I think I want to go back to KISS and do what I did not want to do and do a 1/2 bolt and put a slot in it for a lock...

Good thing I have a lot of scrap from sliders and a 250lbs plate of steel

Death Star beam works too!

I was planning on the 1/2" bolt as well. It was the only thing I could think of that was easy and low profile.

Well the lights did good I hit them pretty well with the power washer washing the truck for prom and and they did not go out or have water in them andmy wire connections where good there nice and dry. Not much more to post it was a busy week with prom and swag (the senior girls kidnapped the senior guys and dressed them up in dresses and then took us to school) and every thing else with family and stuff. I'll try to play this week on things.

I gotta say, the death star beam adds a special kind of quality to your rig. It is the kind of thing that keeps passengers wondering what it could possibly do lol. Looks great! If I ever want a custom button made I am hitting you up.

yah thats the thing im worried about. one person going oooo shinny whats that do and BAMMMM the cars in front of me are blinded it would live up to the its death star name though

if you want any switches i can defiantly do it but ottratw can as well and they know there set up better and can have the fonts matching (one thing that i could not get even after calling them to find what size and font but the lazer just did them diffrently).

Well Sunday might be the only time I got to play with the rear bumper.. Stupid graduation and work keeping me busy. but if I can work all Sunday it should be a good push to have it ready for paint!!!!! In the mean time I have been looking around on the computer and found more ideas and things I want. I decided that when I have the money I will be buying a warn m8000-s and building a bumper similar to addicted off roads plate bumper.

i got to play with the bumper today and did the welding on the inside and am in the stage of looks right now. i have more miss matched sides now but that is what the welder and scrap metal is for.
i threw a light coat of spray paint on the front to see what it looked like.Name: CB2B4E81-A6A3-4DEB-9E27-B98DEEB103D9_zpsdebblqmp.jpg

it was just a coat to see what it looked like. got a LOT of finishing to do then do then add the clevis mounts, holes for the highlift, expanded metal on top for traction and light protection, make and mount my logo, hitch and reinforcements in the bumper, prime, sand, paint, mount then but only then will i be done with this project but i will have fun i guess. (ill be chanting that every time i use that angle grinder).

thanks yota boy yah i like it a lot and kinda wish i did not find it because i like it that much and don't have the money for it when i could build something close . time will tell, i got a better job and making good money so i might in the fall but first i have to get threw this month and get the SAS done before i can think about a winch (might just accidentally start a front bumper build ) but i WILL BE GETTING GOOD STEEL. not going to try and save some money just to play with that angle grinder.

Looks great! Way to keep at it. Maybe the angle grinder is the reason I haven't finished any of my projects....

i hate that thing with a passion!!! the thought of that and wearing a carhartt jacket in 80 degree weather just sucks its grind for half an hour then break for 15 and repeat.

Ha, I use my carharrt for welding, but same principle. all we need is a plasma table and life would be that much better.

Ha! I have seen cheap kits you can buy to mount a plasma on, doesn't seem like too bad a deal in the end. Next problem I run into is space in the garage.
