Ya Im so broke. the runner dont help with that one bit I dont really have to much more to buy aside from tube which wont be for a little bit. Ide rather not go out till I have it, not just for safty but coverage over the motor. I may hit a few trails soon before just to tst some stuff like the motor. I just have little things here and there to work on right now till I feel confinedt to take it out. SOON tho

YEA it is good motivation.

My problem is i have never gone wheeling anywhere with decent spotters so its always been sketchy. A few of my buddys who ive been hanging out with a lot lately have been wheeling for quite some time and know what they are doing so i feel more comfortable when i go wheeling with them.

NOw i just need to make my truck perform how i want and further increase my driving skills. Lower gearing in the cases will be nice, cause even with the 5.29's/3.4L and 35's i still move faster than i like in some situtations.

We have been wrenching on thomas's truck for a while now to get it ready for this trip, so it will be nice kicking it in someones truck and not have to worry about thrashing mine, plus i won't have to worry about driving so that will open up a certain activitiy i can participate in! :beerchug:

Here is his thread on marlin, its in the later pages where we have been workign on it.

So he decided to say screw the 39.5's and throw his 42"s back on for the rubicon.. lol

YA Ive wheeled with a bunch of dumb people. Is it really that hard to spot or follow direction?? It is damn near imposible for some people. LOL I love taking pics but since Im the only one who drives my truck I cant take them so I give my friends the camera and its like they have no clue or ability to take a decent pic. its like seriously come on.. I cant stand it.

Its funny isn't it?
Ive put up with the same stuff many many times.. Lol

so hows the power on that 4.3L? do you notice any difference in power compaired to the 3.4L?

I raced someone i know 4.3L 2wd chevy when i was driving my moms stock 99 4runner with a 3.4L on the highway and the 4runner was quicker.

it has great power.. To compare I would really have to drive both again. My 4.3 I would say definetly has more tourqe.

I would say your friend may not have the same 4.3. Ive got the CPI (central port injection) he probaly had the TBI (thottle body injection) which puts out like 20 less HP I wannt to say dont quote me on that but its less than the cpi. A 2wd 4.3cpi should have waisted the heavier 4runner. driver must have been a bad one too lol

Its on. I do know that the 4runner 3.4 should pull away toward the end buit ide have you off the line

Keep this in mind my flywheel is now about 50lbs compared to the 38lb one I ran with the 3.4 and the clutch is 10 7/8 not 9 somthin so I have amazing touqre and it takes alot to stop this motor once its goin
