Thanks..

I bought all the parts i need today. hopefully i can drill the hole tomorrow in the block for the dipstick and get the oil pan on

maybe if it quits freaking raining i can weld my exhaust.

Okay one question, for now do you think it would work if i used my auto ecu? Is the only problem be a CEL? Cause i could put up with that until i can find a mt ecu in a few weeks.

Okay i have a problem i have been searching for a freaking ecu for a while now and i cannot get one..

This guy Doug at a shop in rancho cordova has been searching through books for me seeing if the ecu's he has would work.
He ended up not having an ecu out of a 99 tacoma mt.

But he said he could sell me a uncut harness out of a 96 4runner 3.4 manual trans with the ecu for $250.

My question is, should i do this. I will essential have two harnesses then, so if anything on the 96 harness didn't work on my motor i could always swap the connectors correct?

If i buy this will the 96harness and ecu work with this motor.. Smog/CEL/ ETC............
Please respond to this cause if so i need to order it today so i can get it this week.

Thanks.
-Mike

That is a SWEETT Looking Rig!!!!!!!!!!!
My next rig is going to have to be something along those lines. (Assuming I do someday wear my '85 out)

I just wish mine was still that clean. . .
Great Build!! Good Luck with the ECU search!

Mike, have you tried Viking Truck Dismantlers in Redding? It's worth a shot for that ECU, they have a lot of Yota's laying around.

Just got the 3.0 oil pan on...
Not too happy with how the new dipstick is connected to the block.. I think it will be fine, but we will see.

(for now i have two dipsticks until i can get a plug for the original dipstick location! (i don't have a ride anywhere so i couldn't go get one....)

Now im going to start on the crossover.....
