Yes, I'm in Australia right now. We have been driving all over Australia with these two. It is truly an amazing place. Finished Tazmania last week. I have a tour of ARB's manufacturing head quarters next week as the last big to do item while here in Australia. Next week the trucks get loaded up to head across the Pacific to come home state side.

Wow, that sounds like an awesome trip! I'd love to go there someday! Thats one way to get your hands on a early 4 door toyota, lol...I remember reading a few years back on another toyota forum, they were talking about trying to ship back a first gen toyota crew cab 79-83'***EDIT (they were talking about just shipping the cab, not the entire vehicle)***but for whatever reason they would have to cut the cab up in peices in order for them to be allowed to ship it state side, turned out not being a worth it in the long run, luckily it must be different if you're buying and shipping a complete vehicle!!! Look forward to seeing some more pics of your new additions, I wouldn't be surprised if you had a waiting list of people to get "first dibs" on buying one if you decide to sell one!

PS: put me on the list!

Thanks guys. This has been a trip of a life time. If anyone comes over they need to wheel in the Grampians National park. All national parks here are a paradise for 4wd vehicles.

As for importing. No need to cut the rigs up. I will get to drive them off the ship and home. I have bought the rigs after alot of research. I have meet all the age requirements and emissions standards so these will be titled and all legal.

I will put you on the list. I will post up as soon as I get them both home. The White one is loaded now and will be state side before the end of the year. The red one will be state side in March of next year.

The red one I think is the one I am going to sell. So if anyone is interested and serious let me know. I am going to give everyone here first option and if it dosent sell it will go to ebay.

Here is on the way to Liffey Falls. It says " Tourist Route" LOL.... right past that is says no cars or bus's, 4x4's only in dry weather. It was crazy steep and dirt only with big ruts. This was the highway mind you. Got to love Tazmaina!!!

I will post up more as I get time. For anyone that's on the fence. Australia is a great place to visit. There are more Toyota's then you could imagine and 95% are diesel. I saw some really cool extremely well built Hilux's and Land Cruisers. Now that I got these rigs I am going to have to wait for an HJ79.... Its going to be a long wait but totally worth it!!!!

Damn those are clean and Australia sounds awesome. What's it like driving on the other side of the road/shifting with your left hand? haha

Will do. Thanks bud. The white one will be here before the end of the year. The red one had to wait for the next ship to have an opening slip, so it won't be here until after the first of the year. As soon as I have one here I will let ya know!

Driving on the right takes a little bit to get used too. Shifting wasn't an issue at all but i am left handed so it's nice and easy. After driving for 2 months on the left side of the road it actually takes a bit to get used too here again. Lol

So I just got done with having a set of headers trial fitted and here is what we have come up with! No need to modify steering shaft and they dump down the back not out the side like other headers we have seen.

Here is the Hilux out at the lake bed. I pulled all the pin stripe off and added some rock crusher wheels and 33x10.5x15 BFG KM2's.

There was about 1' of snow with a sheet of ice under it when we got to the steep long up hill climb. In low range, locked front and rear I only made it about half way up a 100 yard hill. My brother in law was with me laughing saying his Chevy could get further then that and he only had limited slip diffs. So we turned around and went back to get his truck. You gonna have to put up when you make a claim like that! He made it to the first corner of in the trail which was about 200 yards from the staging area. LOL yeah he wasn't laughing anymore!!!! It was a lot of fun rubbing that one in.....

I also wanted to let everyone know that I have a 1UZ swap several story mini series starting in the January edition of 4wd Toyota Owner magazine. If you all are interested in taking a look at the swap into a second gen 4runner. Go grab a copy and stay tuned!
