Did you get the sliders with the kick outs? I want to get some and always liked AllPro's with the kick outs, then seen 4xinnovations and theirs are like a $100 cheaper, good deal!

Man that's a beautiful FJ40... I know where there's a FJ45 4 door wagon is just sitting, they're pretty rare, would love to get my hands on it!!!

I did get the ones with the kick outs and I must say that they are very well built. All told they were $269 shipped (after the yotatech 5% discount). That is for DOM with kickouts!

Nice! I must have been looking at the price for the HREW sliders ($179) but that's still a sweet deal for DOM, that's cool they give a 5% yotatech discount, I need to get me some!

I've got huge problems. Terrible noise coming from my rear diff/axle area. Started earlier this week I thought it was something I left in the back of the truck rolling forward on the bed as I came to a stop (sounded just like that). I realize today that is not the case as it is happening when the truck moves forward at all. I'm going to have my girl take a video of it when she gets home. I fear my diff has grenaded. ˟˟˟˟ me.

*FALSE ALARM* turns out it was my mudflaps getting caught in my tire.

My engine is shot. Died and had it towed to my mechanic. Compression test shows no compression in #3 and #4 cylinders. Do not do business with S&J engines.

Sorry to hear that. Sucks that you found out rear noise was nothing then had engine die.

That's too bad man. Sorry to hear.

Wishful thinking , but could the valves be stuck open on those cylinders? Did they do a wet compression test? Cracked head on those two cylinders? I've experienced all of those with these engines.

I will have to give them a call on Monday and ask. What would cause that?

Stuck valves could be
Bent valve, something between the valve and the seat, broken spring, guide is to right.

You would most likely have noise if the valves were stuck. The rocker arm would be loud like a valve way out of adjustment in the particular cylinder

Cracked head happened to me from overheating the block. Cracked right in between combustion chambers #2&#3 Cylinders. But is had coolant in the oil.

Your rings could have broken or be failing. I bought a used engine with "low compression" on one cylinder.
What happened was that someone installed the ring wrong and had the gaps on the skirt side all inline with each other. Not staggered like they say in the FSM. Pieces of the rings broke off, welded themselves to the piston and destroyed the cylinder.

But you would also have noise with that.

I would call them and ask what's up with it. Why no compression.

Well I'm leaning towards letting nw team yota down in la center WA swap in a 2.7 for $3700. Anyone got a flatbed they can lend me to help me get it down there?

I would just rent a Uhaul car dolly and remove the rear drive shaft. That way you can dump the dolly in la center instead of towing a trailer all the way home.

I don't see any problem with it. They are very adjustable.
