Ahhh interesting. I could have sworn I saw on someone's build at some point (can't remember who) that they were adding it so that they could use it for burping because that hose is the highest point in the system. Thanks for setting me straight on that brother.

You could do that also. I have seen people use it for both. My factory system looks similar to that since I have a rear heater. Thats what I thought it was at first.

My question is how would I use it for that? I tried running the truck and slowly loosening the cap but coolant just started running out...

Coolant is probably coming out since there is a line coming from the block and from the heater core. Both feeding coolant. Maybe you can only use it when refilling from empty and doing a flush.

I'm planning on replacing all hoses in the engine bay. Any recommendations on who to go through? I see 22reperformance offers OE replacements. Not exactly cheap though probably still better than going through the stealership.

I would outsource the hoses from local parts houses. You could make the vacuum lines yourself. And pickup the coolant hoses from napa or a related place as well.

Well my 4xInnovations sliders showed up this weekend. I will be putting them on next Saturday. While I was visiting the girl's parents at last weekend I saw this amazing specimen:

I'm very jealous to say the least.

Thought I would let you know your back bumper is the original style all-pro tube bumper. I had one on my 85' extra cab.

They didn't show up until after I had left the house yesterday and I didn't get home until late. I didn't want to bother you late at night to ask about today.

Awesome! I haven't been able to be sure on what it was this entire time. I was leaning towards TG but I'm glad to hear it is from All-Pro instead.
