yea but that makes it a lot easier to swap the head if you don't want to replace the whole engine. i think if i were to do it over again i'd put a 3rz in mine. has almost as much power as my 7m but is much easier to fit! gotta have some bank for an engine swap though...found that out the hard way

Keep at it man, good luck. Wish i had some wisdom for you. I can only suggest that you continue to look for wire issues, most of my BIG problems always turned out to be small overlooked issues.

People that can so swaps have my respect. I just always had a tough time with them. Seen some that do make it look easy. It going to be awhile before I try a swap of some sort. My last one was a nightmare.

Where do the wires go?

There is a Black/yellow stripe wire, and a white wire coming out of the the engine fuse box..
Where are these wires supposed to be routed to?

Thanks Roger for the pic

One the white wire, are you talking about the Fusible link? On the black/yellow I will look and see when it gets daylight.

The wires I have posted, I am assuming these are the ones you are talking about.

Fusible link

If it is the link you are talking about, I remember that I was talking about it possibly being a hack job of wiring. After talking to Chef and looking at other trucks, I found out it wasnt.

Here is the link to some of the info that I was talking about. On Post #354 Chef gave some good info also.https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...l#post51747852

I went and looked a little bit a go and the other white wire by my pinky coming out of the fuse block, runs into the wiring bundle along the fender that goes toward the head lights.

The black with yellow stripe wire is my battery ground to block wire. Those are picture of my 88s wiring.

If there is other wire you are talking about, I am not sure. Mine is 4 years newer and I have found some changes between an 86-87 wiring harness on my 86s build.

I swapped in the celica wiper, headlight stalks

and now I have intermittent wipers! awesome..

I also mounted the AFM with one bracket..and removed a fuel filter that was on return fuel line.

'
This is the underside where the battery bolt goes into the body, I put a washer there to keep the hook from pulling through

I'll get some more pics of the rest of the swap later
