Congratulations on the new tires. I have seen what a difference it can make for the look and ride on a truck.

Thanks Ed!! Yes, I picked up 5 of them on Saturday. I was initially only going to go with 4 but decided I better get a spare while I can.

Now I need to build a Rear tire carrier.

Definitely drives a lot different. Now that I have the right size tires on for the 5.29's....its definitely not as peppy as before (I expected this), but still drives great. Definitely a lot taller than I thought it would be.

I did not realize this until I opened the tailgate to load something and the gate was hitting my legs further up on my waist than before. By a few inches.

Here are a few pics I took just a few minutes ago.

One thing that I need to figure out is the air pressure. You can see in the pic above^^ the air pressure was set to high and only riding on the center of the tread.

I dropped it down to 30psi and its still not hitting across the full tread. I am hesitant to drop it below 30 but looks like I might have to if I want them to wear nice and even.

Anybody else have any input on the PSI for 35's they have ran, possibly the Trepadors?

I really like the tread pattern on those Trepadors! I used to have a set of Maxxis Bighorns MT's (only in 33's) and really liked them, but I like the aggressive tread pattern and side walls on yours better! Is that a newer tread design? I haven't seen those before.

I'm not too sure on the psi for the tires, I always ran around 35 psi on the streets and they seemed to run across the full tread and wear evenly.

Thanks ED! I also love the Meaty looking aggressive tires. So Far they ride really nice, and I am very happy.

I Have the PSI set at 30 for now and it seems to still not be completely hitting all the way to the edges.

I finally ordered some grease-able bolts from TG for my front bolts on the rear leaf springs.

They only offered them in 18mm diameter and 120mm,130mm,and 140mm lengths. I decided to go with the 120mm length, although I think that they sent me the 140mm ones..

When I removed the old bolts I realized that I forgot they were smaller than 18mm. I have been meaning to do this since I installed the new springs.

I ended up drilling out the factory bracket to accept the 18mm TG bolts.

One thing I have noticed with these TG pins is that the Grease zerk's are so fragile.....they literally break in half when you look at them. Both sides broke off as soon as the grease gun hit them. This is the same thing that happened to me with a few on the front.

All went smooth and now I have the correct size for the Bushing in the rear springs.

Thanks Man!

I currently have 15x10's I did some math, and according to the calculations.....I would have to run sub 20PSI in the tires to get full tread contact. Thats way too low!

I currently have them set at 30psi and its about an inch from the sides. I might try and drop it down to 27-28psi and see what that does. But I will not go any lower than that.

Nice work on the greaseable shackle bolt install! I noticed the same thing when I bought some greaseable bolts from TG for the front of my 86' it seemed like the grease zerks broke really easily.

I hope you find a happy medium for the tire pressure!

Haha. Thanks man.

I think my next order of business that I will be taking care of is a rear tire carrier. I need to get this 35 out of the back cargo area.

My bosses new truck developed a growl from the passenger wheel well, and I convinced him to do both inner and outer bearings and seals.

Busted that out today. Showed the kids how its done.

Had a wild hair up my behind and decided to try and wet sand my front fenders to see how the paint would turn out.

I only spent about 4-5 minutes doing this, and I do not have a buffer......so it came out just okay. I think I might take some more time on the whole body and actually try to wet sand it down and polish it up.

Here are the pics. Its really hard to tell a difference from these. The edges of the panels are very clear and you can see your reflection in them. I just need to spend some more time and get the whole thing like this.

I forgot to take before pics.
