I got a little more done this week. We actual got to drive it today for once. It has been a while since the last time we drove it. Everything seemed ok except it makes a noise every time we take off. And it vibrates when driving. What do you guys think it could be? We put on the ome suspension lift. We think it might be the pinion angle. But we don't know for sure. We are goin to take out the back driveshaft and try driving with only the front one to test and see how that goes. It also seems to have quit a bit of back lash but now time for an update.
I cleaned the entire floorboard and the back to get ready for the primer. Then i degreased everything then primed it. After that had dried for a day or so I then but on the raptor liner. I only used 2 bottles of it but I plan on putting another coat for the back. Here are a few pictures they are dark but I will get some better pictures next time.

Also yesterday we went to pick n pull. We got a better dash pad sense the one that is in the the truck has many cracks in it. Also got a few other small things will get a picture of the dash later. Well that is all for now.

Take off noise, vibe while driving, and backlash all sound like rear driveshaft issues to me. I doubt the OME lift went high enough to make the pinion angle cause all of those, instead I feel like your splines are loose or you have a bad u-joint.

When my splines were too worn on my Samurai, I thought I had lots of backlash or some sort of gearing problem. Better shape driveshaft splines made that go away.

When I had a vibe from my rear DS on my 4Runner I replaced a slightly loose u-joint and it helped a bit. I *DO* have a horrible pinion angle, so that's my issue, but I feel like a mild lift isn't going to do it to you.

You're right to take out the rear DS, drive in FWD to isolate the problem. If you have a good spare rear DS, swap that in and it will answer the question just as quickly.

Do you have a copy of the FSM? It will go over it for you and make it real easy. It pretty much entails getting a feeler gauge and adjusting the valves.

Thank you fgz for that info. I never thought about the splines goin bad. And about the ome lift it seems pretty high right now for 2 inche lift bc it hasn't settled at all yet. And I checked the u-joints and they don't seem bad.

Looking good. How did you like Spraying the Raptor Liner?

Adjusting the valves it pretty easy. I can do it in about 30 minutes now.

Just make sure you have a good feeler gauge and a good copy of the FSM valve adjustment page and you will be set.
