just clean and degrease everything, remove any rust, paint everything, anything that doesnt work fix or replace its easier than going back and trying to fix it all when its all back together

If you do change the gearing it will cost you a few hundred, so thats the downside.

That was what I was thinking but I don't want to go with to big of tires with the stock gearing so I might just go with 31s

Great work you are doing there!

I just realized that you are located a little more than an hr away from me. I was just down your way two weekends ago. Near Falls City, NE.

If you ever need a hand with anything, or some parts, let me know. Im just in council Bluffs

Also about the u bolt flip kit is this the one you recommend
http://www.trail-gear.com/u-bolt-flip-kits
Is it going to mess up where the shocks hook up to the spring plates On the rear axles bc in the picture it doesn't look like the bolt is even there to hook up the shocks.

yes it is what i was recommending, and it will mess up shock mounting you would have to weld on new mounts to the axle. And gearing is only ~$200 an axle

you would mount them just inside of the ubolt on the axle and you can get those from trail gear or lowrange off road too. changing the gearing shouldnt be too difficult, just watch youtube videos as guides

An update

The build has been going very slow lately, but now I have a update on what I have been doing.

First off we started on the front axle after we had finished the rear axle. We took off the free wheeling hub witch I cleaned and painted.

Then we took off the disc brake and the knuckle. Their was a lot of grease but we finally got it cleaned and painted and we got a front axle rebuild kit from Marlin Crawler on the way.

x2 ^^^ Some type of rust encapsulator and then undercoating. I have also used eastwood industries encapsulators and chassis black paint with good luck on my frames.

Axle is looking great. Getting me motivated to rebuild mine.

Havn't updated in a while but we have started to put the front axle together. I don't have any pictures yet but I will get some soon. It has been taking more time then I thought to get it all together.

Got the front axle rebuilt and put back together. Also have got the full ome suspension kit ready to go, but first we are going to undercoat everything with some Eastwood rubberized undercoating. Another thing is we have the frame back from powder coating and plan to put a fluid film inside of it. That is as far as we got.
