Easy Dave, You're getting to be a real Debbie Downer as you get closer to your surgery. We need to get you patched up so you're all smiles again! haha I may have found a pair of chrome round headlight doors and a chrome grille that may cheer you up! I let you know once my parts come in to see if they are legit or not. I know that the bumpers from certain years and 2WD trucks don't "fit" but c'mon man, look at who you're talking to. I'll just fabricate some new bumper brackets to fit it and voila, fancy chrome bumper with no ugly end caps! The geometry of the bumper is still the same from all the differnt years and packages, but the holes are just in different places and the turn signals are different sizes. I'll figure it out somehow I'm sure, assuming I can find the correct bumper. Otherwise, I'll just build one and have it chromed if these chrome headlight doors are legit.

Also, I was having an anxiety attack over my bed getting here today and realized that the freight company that Corey uses has U.S. partners that take over once it crosses the border. Soooo... I put my tracking number in on the partner's tracking site to get further information - IT SHOULD BE HERE TODAY!!!! It's on the truck for delivery right now, but the truck has about a 3 hour drive from the yard to my city and I'm sure they had pieces to drop off along the way so I am impatiently waiting, staring out the window of my office and listening for big diesel haulers to roll by... DAMNIT, this is killing me!!!!

The bed is now being safely stored at an undisclosed location so none of you can come and rob me! My wife is out of town until tomorrow and I'm watching my son by myself so I didn't have the opportunity to uncrate it just yet, but I can tell you all that I am quite impressed so far with the bed. It seems to have arrived from clear across the continent and across the US/Canada border in one piece with no damage. I want to build a dollie to set it on so I cab roll it around while I'm finishing everything up. I'll post some more pictures once I have in all unpacked. Soooo excited!!!

I warned you all weeks ago about being crabby. Seriously.
I posted about it.

The bed may have made it there....but my plan involves waiting until the truck is complete anyways....

As far as your bumper and headlight rings. If I say the word Tiawan...have I revealed a clue?

I'll probably come unglued tomorrow. The waiting is driving me nuts.

Slacker....make us new bumpers...come on man. We got trucks to build. 4 runner complete hatches. Floorpans. What else?

We need 10 unpaid laborers to head to Canada now. We will send slacker a Yotatech work army. Dont worry about how to get to Canada....just go north...you will eventually come to a town with People who practice moose love and drink beer. That is Canada. Slacker will be among them. I would help...but you know the back and all...ok...hop to it guys. We need volunteers.

He thought he was going to maybe resort to beating us fans off the bed before he stows it away
Our trucks are broken so nothing to worry about

You guys really think that I would use a baseball bat for security? I just happen to play baseball and I had to take a bunch of my equipment out of my truck to load up the mew bed. Here's my real security...

Dang Dave, I'm starting to think that you really don't like me. Do you really think that I would slap some Taiwan crap on my truck?? I took a low risk gamble in the hopes that they may actually be legit parts since they were listed on the web site as old collision replacement stock with Toyota part numbers. Better start being nicer to me or I won't reveal my source to you if they are legit... LOL

I had ran across a whole front end set up for our trucks at one point...from Tiawan. They wanted like a million dollars for shipping though.

And I then I wont tell you about a Toyota dealer that may sponsor the trekker...by selling me any parts for it at cost.

Better hope that Toyota is quicker than your typical Toyota because my Remington 700 VTR .308 drives tacks at 600 yards:

And then if you got really close, I can go all kinds of Toyota Jihad...

Like I've said before, I have very poor will power when it comes to buying guns. They just look so lonely sitting there in the gun shop...

Unfortunately....mine are all at my Brother in laws. My stupidity in the jaw breaking incident couple years ago took that away. I CAN have blackpowder though...he he.
Working on getting wife CC and a thumbprint safe so I can gift them to her and get them home. Funny thing is...I only have them cause they are heirlooms.

I have the coolest gun picture in the entire world....so good I am afraid to post it online for fear someone would steal it and profit off it. My grandfather at age 4 being taught to shoot by my great grandfather...outside the family log cabin homestead in Montana...like from 1910 or so. I have one of the guns in the picture. 30/30 Winchester.

Yeah, I regret doing the recall. I'm planning on getting a new Tacoma next year since I don't really need the payload of my Tundra anymore so doing the recall isn't benefiting me much. I actually discovered another mistake they made on the undercoating yesterday. When my friend and I were unloading my new bed I put my son in my truck so he wouldn't get in the way. Naturally, a two-year-old likes to push every button in the truck when left unattended so he locked himself inside with my keys. For this very reason, I keep a magnetic hide-a-key on my frame which I noticed was conveniently undercoated for me. I mean, I understand that it is "hidden" but if somebody was underneath the truck spraying undercoating on the frame rails they should have been able to easily see it. I am so unbelievably irritated with the service center at that dealership, but I need to curb my emotions until I get my new Tacoma because the tenant in the commercial property that I recently renovated for my brother is also the VP and Dealer Operator at that automotive franchise group and she said she'd get me a good deal on my next truck for doing the renovation work ahead of schedule.
