Do you have a link to them and how hard was the install? I have most all the tools I'd probably need.
Yes they did bring up the front end a bit and the install wasn't that bad if you take your time. I read a few threads on yotatech to get a clear understanding but here's a link that really helped me out.

I purchased the leafs from Low Range Off Road. Here are the part numbers in case you were wondering but you should confirm what you need depending on how you use your truck.

Front Leafs Light Load - CS008FA / CS008FB
Ubolts (Not Necessary) - OMEU52
Shackles (Not Necessary)- OMEGS4 or TSP-SHOEM-G

http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/toyot...it-omegs4.html
http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/toyot...p-shoem-g.html

The Ubolts aren't necessary but i replaced mine and i believe you can also use your existing shackles but if they're the original ones and rusted out you might have to grind them off so i would recommend getting new ones.

awesome thank you.
so did you go with those larger greasable pair for 144.00 or the standard height stock Toyota ones that are 44.00 each side? You linked both.

and as for leafs it shows 2in lift in all the discriptions. Does it give a 2" lift?

Yes i ended up going with the greasable pair because they did not have the Toyota OEM shackles in stock. I confirmed with Low Range OffRoad that the Greasable shackles are the same height as the Toyota OEM shackles before purchasing because i wanted as little lift as possible.

As for the lift, i didn't measure the truck before installing so i cannot give you an exact number but i would say around 2" and according to the reviews it will settle a bit.

Oh and i forgot to mention you will also need to get the bushings. I replaced all of my front end bushings so i got a complete kit but you can get them separately for just the Shackles.

Yes you can get everything at Low Range. I got my bushings at Energy Suspension, you can get complete kits there with the Cab mounts.

awesome thank you.
I bookmarked them. So did you go with the full 146.00 kit for all the bushings on the whole truck?

So i ended up taking my Power steering pump out to see why it was leaking from the Flow control Valve and guess what, I never put an Oring on it I couldn't believe it, but oh well you live and learn. Found an Oring that would fit, threw the pump back on and sure enough the leak went away

Now the Bad news, my steering box is leaking from the pitman arm side Have to take it back out and take it to the person that rebuilt it. There was enough pressure to test out the power steering and I can say it is so much better now.

No i know i should have but i ended up going with the Front end kit.
http://www.energysuspensionparts.com...wd-1979-1985-p

One thing i did notice is the Front sway bar end links that come with the kit are not going to be long enough. I compared them to the ones i removed from my truck and they were shorter so i am not sure if they are the incorrect length or the ones i previously had on were replaced before.

No update for the brakes as of now. The truck has been parked since I had to remove the steering box to fix the leak it had. Just put the steering box back in yesterday and it is no longer leaking... as much I'm just going to leave it like that for now since it only leaks a few drops when the steering is maxed out, maybe ill try some of that power steering leak fix. But man does it feel ten times better than manual steering

I just need to get my sway bar back on which was giving me issues last time i tried and i guess i need longer end links now because the new ones that came with a kit are not long enough. Once i get my sway bar on i will look at my rear brakes.

I only had the manual steering on my last 82 and even with 31" MTs I never felt the need for P/S. It also had no A.C. so it had only one drive belt. I kinda liked the simplicity

haha like NYH said you must be really strong. I also have 31's but mud terrain for now and man doing a u-turn from a stop, or a 3 point turn was not fun at all. I feel like i wasn't even enjoying driving the truck around and i don't want that to be the case. I might be exaggerating a tad bit haha but i really enjoy the difference the power steering made.
