Thanks Youngiam and dropzone.

Since i changed out my brake lines I need to bleed my brakes. Since i have never done this before i started looking it up on yotatech what order to do so. From what i understand it should be DR, PR, PF, DF and last the LSPV. However, my FSM gives no explanation on how to bleed the LSPV and i do not see a bleeder plug on it. On other threads i have found people have a bleeder plug to the right but mine does not. Do i just crack open one of the fittings? I do appreciate any help.

This is all of the explanation the manual gives on how to bleed the brakes. After step 4 on the bottom the next page goes to talking about the master cylinder.

Besides bleeding the brakes, another question i have is regarding the power steering pump. I rebuilt the one i have but now that i am finishing up on my power steering conversion i realized i am missing one tiny part. It is called the union seat and sits outside the union pressure port. I do not have this part and called Toyota and they said it is discontinued. Is my only option going to a pick a part and finding one there? Is there another part number i can cross reference from a different year. I am so close to finishing the power steering

The part i am talking about is on the bottom right with the arrow pointing to it.

Your bleeder should be by the wheel cylinders as the picture show. Do you not have them?

Yes i do have them, i guess what i meant is does the LSPV also have a bleeder on it? Or do i just bleed the two rear wheels by the cylinders like you're saying.

does anyone have any clue about the Union seat above? Will the power steering fluid leak without this part?

Did you try parts.toyota.com?? They give new part numbers if they have changed. I would think it should still be made.
Maybe you have an old style lspv valve that does not have a bleeder? What does it say in the fsm? Maybe the nut on top is the bleeder?
My instagram is crizzut

ive only found one other part number so far and I’ll find out by tomorrow if i get a discontinued email or not. I saw some steering pump rebuild kits come with something similar but they call it a floating seat and the kits that come with that part run around 80 dollars. That’s insane

Wow, that is pretty ugly looking, can't wait to see mine
How many times did you have to bleed the lines to get fresh fluid coming out?
My LSPV has a screw on it and that's what it says to use for bleeding not a regular bleeder valve, 84 vs 83 so not sure what you have.I'll take a pic when it warms up a bit.

I didn't even keep track to be honest. I had my dad help me and we just kept going until the fluid came out clear and saw no more bubbles. I do know i went through a 32oz of brake fluid.

Thanks for the pictures. Mine looks nothing like that. I ended up not bleeding anything from the LSPV.
