Hi again guys has any of you tried the balancing beads or airsoft pellets to balance your tires ? Thanks again

 

Many discussions on this subject here. Some skeptical, some not. Bottom line they work. IMO Airsoft pellets are the way to go. Much cheaper. Swamper Boggers however, I would use a slightly higher weight then required for the tire size.

With that said, this isn't because of my experience with them, but I was one of those skeptical guys and did lots of research on these things.

I tried it on 29" bias swampers on a Subaru and had no luck. My buddy tried it on 32" bias swampers on his 83 yota and also had no luck. Sounds cool when coming to a stop though.

Bias tires. That's probably why. Those things are almost impossible to balance with standard weights.

 

I just put in a the Dynabeads in a old set of 31" les schwab tires that i mounted my self. I ran the tires for about a year with out balancing them but always had a bit of imbalance going on. After the beads i noticed a good improvement but still had one tire that felt out of balance, but i have now come to the conclusion that it is more likely out of round.
I will defiantly put them in my next tires wich will be either KM2's or TSL radial 33/10.5

 

Easier to take a corndog from a fat chick than balance swampers.

Met an old timer that used golf balls in 37"s he said you better have a friend with a tire machine for the trial and error of adding and removing to dial them in. Might be food for thought. Hope it helps.

 

With my old Swampers (TSL/SX), I had them first remounted a few times to get the best tire/wheel fit. Then had the tires shaved round (on the vehicle) and between that and the Centramatic wheel balancers, they actually ran quite smooth. At least once you warmed them up, they did tend to flat spot any time you stopped and that was worse the colder the weather.

Did it once with 33x12.50 swamper boggers airsoft bbs got all four ties running good but them theyre boggers so yea you get the point but do a lot of math and ALOT OF COUNTING haha good luck

 

I have 35/15.5r15 super swamper sx's. I have tried to balance them numerous times and finally used stainless steel bb's (a lot of them). They have smooth speeds and very rough speeds. It almost feels like death wobble at 28mph, but I do manage to keep her on the highway at 70. The swampers look awesome and perform pretty well, but soon they will be in the barn for offroading only. I don't know if the beads actually do much or not and like I have said, I have probably 20-24oz in each. Good luck

 

is the death wobble because of the bbs or did you have it before? I had 33" 12.5 15 swamper tsls bias ply, and (with no bbs or any type of balance) they seemed to have a death wobble at 25 to 30 as well... 40 to 45 and up it was pretty smooth
