245/50-18 too wide?
I have a 94 pickup 2wd that I just put some 245/50-18 on some 18x8 wheels. I also have 1.5" spacers to pull the wheel out flush with the fender. My question is that if I'm rubbing at full lock will the minor lift solve the issue. My plans were already to lift the front with either 1.5" bj spacers/saw torsions or fabtech uca/saw torsions. Also I've notice that the handling got a little loose so how would I fix that. Here's a pic for those interested. For those thats wondering this is a DD with no wheelin.

First, it would help to know where it is rubbing at.
Second, with 1.5" BJ spacers you should get a lift of around 1.5". Yeah I know, who knew?
So, a good thing to do, although not very accurate, would be to measure the tire to fender distance and then jack the front of the truck up so the fender to tire distance is 1.5" greater. Then turn the wheel lock to lock to get a rough idear of whether BJ spacers will work or not. I say it is not very accurate because when you jack up an IFS rig, the tires arc inwards.
If it is rubbing on the bottom of the fender, my recommendation would be to just trim it where it is rubbing. IMHO, your truck would look kind of goofy lifted with the low profile tires. However, I've proven wrong many times in the past.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for reply. I've attached some pictures at full lock both directions. Also my original plan was to fit some 29-30" tires but decided to start with the 27" tires. But now I'm wondering how these other 2wders are even drivin 29-30" without any rubbing at all even lifted. For those running M/T a 245 in about a 9.6 in wide tire.
Another quick question is that the handling has gotten a little loose with the bigger wheels so will an alignment fix that or do I need steering stabilizer?
