It could be ABS stuff. Depending on the year of the car some of them had separate ECU's for the ABS system and some were integrated.
Here is a pic of one of my LS400 ECU's its a 1993 model. Its a lot different than yours.

Yea I have the wiring diagram book for the 93. It has helped with identifying stuff.
That seperate plug has the fuel pump and a couple other thing in the wiring I need I believe. Can I wire it up without the plugs and be ok? Or will there be a problem? I'm using the 3.0 fuel pump. Is there a way to straight wire it along with something like another ignition switched trigger wire?

Not sure. I paid an expert to do my wiring. I know he wired mine up using the Lexus fuel pump ECU and wired it on the high speed side. Right now I still have my stock fuel pump but I bought a Walbro to install.

ok i got some work done on the wiring today. i still have trouble with the wiring but i'm goin to try and use the 3.0L afm. I'm also gonna try and use the battery terminals and wiring from the truck. we'll see how well that goes.

so did you find the diagram for your ecu .. whats the part number..
is that the way it came , no wires cut and one connector missing.
usually they have the injectors on one of the 26 pin connectors and the fuel pump realay on the other 26 pin connector. so where are these on your ecu.
dude why are you wanting to use the 3.0 afm i really dont think thats going to work.
you can use some of the wiring from the truck , the lexus has the battery and afm on the opposite side.

yea i just cross referenced the 90 model diagram from lextreme with the book i got off ebay.
theres the model number and yes that is the way it came.
yes the fuel pump relay, efi, and battery wire are all on the that fourth connector.
the afm's arent that different suprisingly. I'm goin to try to and see if the afm will work anyway. I also want to keep the battery in the same place so we'll see how well that goes. lol

Dude your missing plug E11 .. and yes you harness is incomplete .. that plug has the small gauge wires in it .. Batt , oxy sensors fuel control .. ETC .. that Plug is separate from the engine harness . those wires go to J/B No 3 then come around to the computer.
J/B No 3 is under the dash right in the middle of the car, behind the stereo.
who ever took the ecu and wires out left the plug attached to the body harness and did not cut it off and give it to you.
go to a wrecking yard and find that plug man ...

The engine will run with the 3.0 AFM but you will be choking it down. The 1uz AFM is the largest OBDI AFM that Toyota made. Even the Supra guys upgrade to the 1uz unit. Actually the engine will run pretty good without a meter at all. I think I'd do that before using a 3.0 AFM.

ok, first i got the harness a long time ago, so gettin the plug out is impossible. I also can't find a car within 100 miles of me. I'm goin to try and get it to work without a plug until i can find one.
well when i find a car and a junkyard, I'll get the afm while i'm there. We see how it turns out.

the 4.0 maf contains the iat sensor... that plug is needed, i only used a few wires from it though.. go to a lexus(or toyota) dealer, bring your ecu, go to parts and tell them the year/ model of the car they can order that plug for you it will be special order so you will have to wait for it, but it should be cheap, once you have the plug unpin on of the several wires that are not bing used fromt he other 3 and place it in the correct pin on the the new plug and vuala! your done.. i work next to lexus and i can walk over there on tuesday and find out for you.. if there is no lexus dealer around you i can order the part and ship it to yeah

ok i got the tcase back together. sorry forgot to get a pic. I'll be sure to get pics of putting the tcase on the tranny with the adapter. I don't have much left to do. I'll make a list of whats left for whoever is following this.
1. massage firewall and grind down ebrake stud, so engine will can be pushed farther back. make adjustments to the motor mounts so engine can slide back.
2. finish integrating the harness into the trucks wiring.
3. find some headers that will actually work.(i'll explain at the bottom)
4. cut core support for easier testing of motor.
5. find where the tcase shifter will be in the truck and cut the hole for it.
6. test fit motor for the last time before permanent installation when headers arrive.
that is the list for next two weekends i guess. yes i only get to work on this on weekends.
ok i got my headers the other day and well they didn't even come close to fitting. There is no way they came from a 4.7L 2uz. their bolt patter was way off and so was the port size. I'm goin to look into getting some different manifolds today and see what i can find.
