What I did once I new roughly where I wanted it. I first started with finding out the max width I could fit. Which had nothing to with how much room but with what the fittings would allow me to do. So I went on www.siliconeintakes.com I believe was the site. And looked up the takeoffs on there silicone 90's. From that I new roughly what the max width was that would be able to pipe in and have it look half way decent.
The one I'm using I found on two different sites but then found it on ebay at a store the cheapest. I'll half to look it up and get back to ya.

Go to ebay and search "Godspeed universal intercooler" you'll get a couple results out of there store bit you'll see mine in their. Gives the full dimensions of it which was the BIGGEST help to me when laying it out.

This is just so you can see what I have with the stock rear driveshaft, and for the front just remember it's already been extended about 2 inches in the past and that's an 1 1/2" spacer which is a hair to long. Probly end up with a 1inch instead.

The stock rear drift shaft worked with your lift? I'm impressed. I know it stretches but thats a ways to go.

Yeah the only reason it worked out I think is just cause of the combination of lifting it and then moving the whole drivetrain back so the two kinda helped to counter the other. But as of now with only minor wheeling and over a thousand miles on the road and no issues

So the past two months ive had ALOT of people ask about or atleast tell me that I should put a kit together that would allow somebody to bolt this motor and drivetrai into there truck or Runner.
Just wondering what people's thoughts would be on that?

Ha Thanks for the feedback chefyota. When I started this build I wanted to make it easier for the next person and answer a lot of the questions I had starting out after hours and hours and hours of research and trail and error with parts.

The 2J is almost the same identical setup. Except that it is a 3.0L instead of 2.5L. So overall the dimensions of the motor make it a little taller than my 1j. So in short I'm not so sure you could do a 2j swap with out having to do a body lift. I could of gone with a 2j but #1 I really do not like body lifts and #2 lol I figured the 1j would be a tight enough fit in their, no reason to get greedy with it. There is a guy here that has posted on my thread that just completed a 2j swap in his 1st gen Runner

2jz requires a body lift, when i mounted mine it stuck up out of the engine compartment a couple inches. a 2 in body lift would probably do it or push it back in the bay 6 inches with a clearanced firewall. it all depends on the oil sump and what configuration its going in. with a rear sump and sas it could be mounted lower in the frame rails

My hood closed with no body lift. 2jz. Left transmission in stock location, moved front frame/radiator mount about 2.5 inches further forward and everything fit, IFS, rear sump.

Hey man Thanks for the support. If you start at page 11 and up you'll see everything that I used to get the motor and drivetrain put in. I spent probly a year researching everything before I started. When I started this thread my purpose was to make it that much eaisier for the next guy. Which is why for the most part its pretty step be step through out the whole build.
As for the Radiator, I believe its on page 14 or 15 maybe not sure. its actually just a custom kit from summit. I roughly knew what dimensions I needed for one to fit. So on summit racing I found very close to what I wanted and orderd a "custom radiator kit" where you get the aluminum radiator and all the pieces. You half to cut them in and weld it out yourself. All you half to do is fabricate the mounts for it.

I should have done the rear sump, mine is front sump and any lower mounting would cause my steering relay rod to rub the oil pan. dang maybe that will be my winter project, rear sump swap and body lift delete. I hate body lifts and talk crap about them and I HAVE ONE AAHHHHH!

I wish i would have checked out your build first before hacking mine up
