Finally got it out.
Ok, do I have to remove the bell housing to get the oil pump out?
Why is the fluid in the dipstick, torque converter, and oil cooler lines nice and red but when I undo the lower bolts in the oil pump, brown fluid pours out the bolt holes?

Bump.

So since the last post I made I have done zero work on the truck. I've been in and out of hospital for an as yet undiagnosed illness. Finally starting to get get my life back on track but dont have any strength to touch this project yet. Hopefully in the next month or so.

So any help with the above questions? I need to get the pump out and replace it.

I've also found out that the 3.0 and 3.4 TC are a different thickness - 3/8 thicker for the 3.0 TC and was wondering if I should ditch the 3.0 for the 3.4 TC?

Use the 3.4 its setup for the power bands of the 3.4 engine 3.0 TC will have the wrong stall specs.

Thought I'd bump this with an update.

Driven 3000 miles now!!! All I have to do is get the o2 sensor in, figure out why the cruise isnt working and start work on the AC to get that working.

I've even towed my boat!!!!
