So i just ordered some warden 31x10.5 from treadwright. They should be coming in towards the end of the month. Ended up paying about 480 for a set of four. I got five percent off using the code summer2012. I also picked up some hubs for 50 bucks. I will need to buy the conversion kit. Bought a new glove box, oem skid plate, washer reservoir, and new speakers. I finally got around to fixing the p0500 DTC this morning. I must have been brain dead from looking at ewds when i originally did the wiring because I wired the speedo completely wrong. Only took me 30 minutes to fix. A new code did pop up though, p0125. I need to diagnose it with by following this. I'm hoping its a bad o2 sensor. Could be a multitude of things. I extended my 02 wires because the exhaust shop could not fit it like it was on the 96. So the cat is a couple feet back from where it is on a stock 96. So it could be placement or maybe something is up with my extended shield wire. Not sure. I should get a lot done on it in the next couple of weeks.

I'm wanting some Wardens too. Sounds like you've just about got this project licked.

how has your 3.4 been running now? my original 3.0 is at 290k and seems like its getting ready to kirk, so I've been researching 3.4 swaps when i have the time. I actually have pretty much the exact same 4runner, '88 sr5 5 spd 4x4, so this thread has been very helpful with my planning

It is running good. I'm loving the power and mpg. When you do the swap dont hesitate to ask me a question. No matter how "stupid" you might think it is. I can get any pictures you need/want. It really is nice to have a donor vehicle. I would have made countless trips to the hardware store just for bolts alone but I picked them off the '96. I think this post is one of the more helpful ones in my thread.

Here is a quick update of what I've done recently:
Zuk mod w/ 10" 125 lb springs. I'll get pics up later. Probably one of the easiest mods I have ever done. Jacked truck up. Put stands underneath the frame. Took wheels off. Lowered jack. Squeezed the springs maybe a half inch to get them to fit. I didnt need a spring compressor. I just let the rear end unload. Didnt even take the shock off. Truck sits perfectly level now.
All new speakers with bass blockers
31x10.5 Treadwright Wardens
New axle seal
Cleaned the interior with a rugdoctor and it made it look newish
Installed 2 6.5" "subs"
New Ignition Cylinder
New Door Locks
Timing belt with water pump
Head Unit

Future:
Polish wheels
Rebuild front end
Paint top
Manual Hubs
Roll on paint job
Clean the contacts on the window switches.
