I did search quite a bit. The Doug Thorleys aren't cheap either. The problem is I am going to use them in a swap, and both the TRD's and the DT's exit together on the passenger side. On top of that I just realized that the picture of the DT 3.4's that I have is incorrect compared to the one on URD's site,. These also all exit on the passenger side.
So I guess I will re-phrase my question. Does anyone make a 3.4 header that I can put on a 88 4runner swap vehicle where either the headers individually go down their own sides of the trans, or are intended for a swap and go down the driver's side?

Here's a set of used Downey's-

I can assure you they're awesome; I've got em on my S/C'd 88 3.4 4Runner. You'll need to cut and angle the ends, otherwise they'll hit the frame rails. I've been running the same set of 3.4 Downey's on my truck since early 2003 with no leaks or issues. The O2 flange is pretty close to the steering rod (it rises up an inch or so off the pipe), but it's not a deal breaker.
In regards to your question about the oil pan, I believe you have the perfect swap candidate as long as you're IFS (3.4 T100, 4wd pan). No need to remove anything since your 3.4 was built to fit into a 3.0 chassis. Someone had mentioned a 2wd T100 pan- that's needed if you're going to a solid axle setup. Too bad they changed the location of the fuel tank and exhaust just for the 3.4, otherwise you would have a factory exhaust dropping on the left hand side.

Do you have any picts of that 3.4 installed in your 88? I sure would love to see how those headers worked out in there as well as just for some inspiration.

I don't have any good underneath pics; I found a couple I took with my cellphone shortly after I re-did my crossover. I used 2 1/2" swivel couplers and pipe from the headers into a Flowmaster dual 2 1/2" into single 3" out, then a 3" magnaflow cat (all in the pics), then I tried several different mufflers until I found a combination that worked best. I'm currently running a stock Dodge Ram muffler and a Summit race resonator after it (no pics of that stuff though).

Thanks, Its hard to see from the picts, but it looks like you did exactly what I was planning on doing. It looks like I got those headers, well at least I have paid for them. Now just have to wait for them to come. Do you have a body lift on that truck? Just curious what size whole I am looking forward to in my hood.

When I originally put the motor in, I had no body lift (that pic is with no body lift). I wasn't concerned about cutting the hood; I was more concerned about keeping a low center of gravity. One issue I had though, my rear heater lines hit the header with no body lift. I had them tie-wrapped up and away for a while. Several years later, I installed a 1/2" body lift. Then I was able to use my rear heater lines, and the hood clearance got somewhat better. It's rumored that you can run a 1" body lift without cutting the hood, but I can't confirm that. With my setup, I think a 1" body lift would still leave the supercharger contacting the hood under full throttle load, which mine sees every time I drive it
I'm running 90-95 3VZ motor mounts on mine because the 88 3vz motor mounts don't bolt up nicely to the 5vz motor. You have the perfect mounts already on your 5VZ since they were designed to fit a 3VZ chassis.
Some other stuff you might want to know- be sure to put a URD kit on it, as the T100's weren't recommended for supercharging (ECU not able to control additional fuel delivery). I've got a 2001 Tacoma ECU with the TRD 7th injector kit. I'm also running a Walbro 255 fuel pump, since the stock 3vz pump couldn't keep up. If you get a Walbro pump, order one for an 88-91 turbo Supra, as the fit is identical to the early trucks (later fuel pumps are much smaller in diameter, and require shimming in the tank bracket).

Old but here is my input.
I have a 98 4runner with the TRD headers, i installed the headers a little less then one years ago, no problems or complaints. I also removed that cat and i have a 02 simulator because i got tired of the check engine light lol
Truck runs strong, i also have a custom intake + velocity stack and KnN filter. I was running a regular cone KnN when i installed the headers, the truck woke up when i put a velocity stack and KnN. I also converted to a 99+ MAF and ditched the restricting older MAF.
I almost went with the OBX's since i could find TRD's for a decent price. They were exact copies of the TRD's so i was just going to grind them out and clean them up a bit prior to install. But i got lucky and scored a set of TRD's for 400. So i installed them
I am now waiting to install a 3rd gen blower, my friend that ports heads is going to port a lower plenum for me once i get it. I installed a NOS kit, but i got frustrated buy going to refill it, it was very expensive in the long run.
I am going to get it tuned once everything is said and done, I hope i put some good numbers down lol
