front shackle angle improved a little, but not much. The rear ended up sagging a little more. Kinda sucks, but i can deal with it. I'm stationed at Fort Hood in texas. I'm from albuquerque though. I think huachuka (however u spell it) is in arizona too. I only know of Air Force bases in New Mexico.

well getting the a340h to work with the 3.4 was proving to be a damn nightmare, so 5speed is going in!

What? Fast?! Drivin down hill, being pulled by somebody with a V-8? I'm sorry but I have a 91 P-Up with a reman 3.0 with cold are intake and premo plugs/wires/oil (easy mods) and it has trouble gettin out of it's own way. Dont get me wrong, she's my baby and I love er ever so dearly but what's different about mine from your old runner?

It depends on how your motor is running. It might not be in top shape. My 3.0L wasn't that bad, except pulling hills.

Pepsi, your rig looks nice!
You will love the 3.4L !

Take your runner wheeling yet?

Looks really good, the springs do look very tall for the 3", but mine was also high. One thing that I would look at when your drivers tire is tucked in the fenderwell see if your steering arms are rubbing. Mine did so I just moved my steering box up about 2-3 inches.

Air Force??

curious to see how those springs are settling for ya. I have the 3" front and they settled pretty good after a couple good trail rides...

well got the 3.4L and 5 speed in, and holy crap is it different! I can actually merge onto the freeway now!

and the 3" springs up front didn't end up sagging much at all, its maybe 1/2" shorter up front compared to the day of the sas. The rear on the other hand sagged about 1" already.

I haven't taken it wheeling in about 6 months, since my 3.0 died on me. But before that i was going all the time. Can't wait to go with the new drivetrain.

Nice job on the SAS and 3.4/manual swap! One question, what are you going to cover the hole in the hood with? A suggestion might be a fox body mustan cowl. They fit the contour of the hood pretty well.

Here is a picture of my 2nd gen with a mustang cowl for reference...

i liked the old color too, but i replaced the doors with ones with the manual windows, so i had a dark blue door, a red door, and light blue truck...easiest thing to do was paint everything black.

The front end of your truck will come down more I have had the same springs in my 4runner for over a year now. All of last year they were high then over a few weeks it really settled in and now its looking much better.

The 3.4L swap is on my list of things to do on my truck looks good.

I have a 92 excab also with a 3.4 swap and went with this one. It gets about 105 here regularly in the summer and no issues with overheating.
