How much travel do you have after your SAS?

My control arm bushings are shot and its gonna cost the same to fix them as it will to SAS (I already have the axle, histeer, shock hoops ect...)

I was talking to Steve at sonoran steel and he was telling me that he would weld up my spring hangers for 300 bucks so I could drive home and finish the swap in my driveway. I was asking about expected travel from the trailgear springs (which are the only springs he will guarentee will fit) and was saying that nobody gets more than 12" total travel after the swap is finished.

Does that sound about right? I thought 12" seemed a bit shy, I was hoping to max out my 14" bilsteins after the swap. I was also planning on as little lift as possible just enough to cycle 35s I'm hoping I can get away with 3" but no more than 4" springs

I don't have numbers but I have pics...

Sorry... my kid sister is in the way (Not like you guys care)

I've got de-arched all-pro's. Wish the guy who build it before I got it had done something else... Still She flexes good!

Back when tippy had coils.... Man she had flex!

Still Steve at Sonoran Steel will hook you up right. He knows his bid-ness!

Why would you want to max out your shocks?

It's not that I want to max them out I just figured thats what was gonna happen. I've got bumps and straps in a box somewhere so it wouldn't be that big of a deal if I did.

those look like pretty flexy springs, I'd be alright with that. Seems like more than 12" though. It looks like I'm gonna need to find some spring comparison threads on this one.

Mine is not a SAS ('85 4Runner), but I think I am at about 15" of front shock travel (out of 18+" available - maybe 1" extra up travel and 2-3" extra down travel left):

Yeah Roger, I love your shock setup those things are the baddest of the bad, looks totally road warrior

15" would be nice, I'm thinking its the TG springs that Steve was talking about.

What is your shock setup? Also, what axle do you have under there? there are U joints, not birfs.
