do i need to use leaf springs?
I got a question...If I convert my 4runnr's front suspension from an IFS to a solid axle...do I have to use leaf springs? I want a coil spring suspension...kinda like the setup on this wrangler??

you dont have to use leafs. leafs are typically cheaper and maybe even easier to do. there are plenty of SASed rigs that use coils and coilovers instead. check out some of the rigs at pirate starting with post 16 http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showp...9&postcount=16 and continue all through the pages
not to mention with leaf springs, your axle is always positions front-to-back and side-to-side, no panhard bars and stuff to worry about, which helps in the cost, but each have their advantages. im sure someone with more experience will chime in

can i use that kit from trailgear? cuz it doesnt say what 4runner its from???are the width of the chasis on the 2nd and 3rd gen 4runners the same? how bout the rear? does that mean i gotta install leafsprings there too?
