Who "clocked" his or her rear axle when a leaf swap was done? What degree? Rotating the axle in order to turn the 3rd member upward a bit would help, correct? Would this increase axle wrap issues?

By the way, once my SAS and rear leaf swap is underway, I will post a comprehensive thread and maybe delete my others.

 

I don't see why it has to be more prone to axle wrap, if you weld the spring perches accordingly you're only improving the pinion angle...

In the front you'll mess the steering but the rear can be rotated.

Great, thanks. I was just concerned that if there was any axle wrap, the symptoms would be worse.

 

I cut off the OEM spring perches and welded on new ones that were rotated so the rear pinion was aimed at the t-case output. Takes a little more time but with it all torn apart it was pointless not to do it if I was only going to have to shim it later.
