Sorry I have been out of touch for a couple days, I was out shooting with the New Mexico guys!

I am all for the integration with TTORA and encourage it... BUT with the problem of me only being able to be in one place at a time. I don't want to leave out anyone. I would feel bad if I got shots of everyone except 1 or 2 people or groups etc. That just wouldn't be fair. If everyone is ok with the fact that this could very well happen I'd be happy to go on as planned, but I don't want to leave anyone out if I can help it. I know you guys with heavily modded trucks are wanting to use them to their fullest potential, but we have to be fair to everyone. It would be ideal if one day (it could even be an early/half day) that all the YT people hit the trails together. We could setup a meeting/lunch spot with the TTORA guys if need be or we could setup a night run after we return I really would like to see everyone together at some point. While I know I can't get everyone, my goal is to ensure that as many YT members get to have their 30sec of fame and get some sort of screen time on this DvD as possible.

Thoughts?

Absolutely! We will contact who ever in the SD area wants to go up as a group. Safety in numbers!

Austin, you need to give me a call. I'm not 100% sure when you're getting into the area.

I have no problem with getting Adventure Passes for those that will be camping Friday night but can't get to the Discovery Center before 5pm. Just bring the money!!

Austin said he would be getting here on the 15th (Tuesday) so I was thinking that a meet and greet at the Coronado Brewery that evening would be cool. That way those that can't make the Big Bear run can at least meet Austin. Newcomers would be welcome, of course! (Brad...you should def consider making an appearance )

Coronado Brewery? Are you serious? Maybe we can find something a bit less stuck up to introduce him to. McPee's is a bit more friendly. I am in for what ever though.

Maybe San Diego Brewing Co would be more central...or someplace in Mission Valley or by the beach in PB

Yeah that does make a lot more sense. We coastal dwellers get caught up in our utopic atmosphere. Just kidding... well kinda

Carl Straus is no joke if you want good beer, food and waitress's and down town!

Austin,

Somehow we need to get together before you head up to BB as I have your Adventure Pass. Just buzz me! Also I'll figure out a way so you can get everyone on the video. Since everyone will be up there both sat and sun I'm sure I should be able to figure out what everyone is doing and make sure you're at a good camera spot for both days.

OOOOK,
Lance and I have been discussing how the run is going to pan out the last couple days and after shooting this past weekend here in NM I have come to the conclusion that it would be much easier for my one man show if we had our own run on Sat. This would not only insure that all the YT guys would be well represented on the DvD and nobody would be left out but it also will allow us to be on our own schedule and I wouldn't feel as though I was holding any of the TTORA guys back. I hope I don't ruin anyone's plans but if you want to be sure and appear on the DvD then we are going to have an early morning departure on Sat to hopefully beat as much traffic as possible since there are going to be at least 3 other large clubs there that weekend. We are going to be running a medium trail so everyone will be able to attend and it isn't going to be toooo long so those wanting to do harder trails may get a chance to do both. It will all depend on how long we take, but judging by my experience from the NM run (which had half the # of rigs) its not going to be a race to the finish.

My main concern is that I am a one person doing 5 people's jobs and I only have two days to capture what I need and there are no possible re-shoots. If everything goes as planned I will be able to get all the shots I need and then we can hang with the TTORA guys that evening and possibly have a night run depending on everyone's intoxication level after dinner . I also like this plan because if something does go wrong we can still have sunday as a backup.

If anyone has any questions or suggestions please feel free to post up or pm either Lance or I and we will do our best to get everything answered.

The most scenic trail is Gold Mtn...what if the YT crew gives TTora a head start.

That way we can get our group isolated in the movie...then later if time permits we can film both groups together.

Since we're going to be doing our own thing for Saturday, I'm thinking we'll meet elsewhere so we don't get all mixed up and then head out earlier so we can get a head start on the trails. How does this sound? TTORA guys will be gathering 9am and probably depart 930ish so if we can get together around 8am and depart at 830 that may be a better deal.

Since our group is significantly smaller I'm thinking of meeting up at the Discovery Center unless any of you have some other ideas.

thoughts?

Sounds good...we can meet up at the Discovery Center and run Gold Mtn...then those that want to can run White Mtn with TTORA or do John Bull.

There is plenty of good footage on both trails, and I will probably be up for both.

That sounds like the best plan to date. Are we doing two runs Sat?

Has anyone ever run the Jacoby Canyon Trail (3N61)? I heard it's another fun Medium run. It's a half mile east of the Gold Mountain Trail off of Holcomb Valley Road?

I've done 3N61 and it's that difficult of a trail. That may be a good night run trail to do though.

I'll update the first page/post to reflect our tentative scheduled run. We're looking at 8am at the Discovery Center for the Yotatech Guys.
