So now what, none of them are actually gonna be there?
I find that hard to believe, they're just not gonna go.

Well TTORA can't organize any runs. But this doesn't mean they can't just do smaller runs on their own. I'm not sure on the details but I suspect we'll still see quite a few of them up there.

The TTORA guys emailed everyone signed up with a list of people who they could go with, as well as a unofficial meeting place for each of the groups. This meanas there wil still be quite a few people up there.

Just to confirm directions to the campsite:
* -LEFT on highway 38 at first intersection
* -LEFT on Poloque Canyon Rd (before discovery center)
* -RIGHT at TTORA sign (will be arrow), continue to 3N16
* -RIGHT on 3N16
* -LEFT at 3N07 (If you pass holcomb valley campground, turn around)
* -bear RIGHT on 3N07, and continue to follow TTORA signs

are the TTORA signs still up?

are these directions incorrect?:
10E -> 30E? ->Hwy 38N -> LEFT on Van Dusen Canyon Rd -> RIGHT on Holcomb Valley Rd -> LEFT turn in 2.0 miles

Therefore, using the trail numbers, it should be...

3N09 turn right into 3N16 (Holcomb Valley Rd) 3.8miles

3N16 turn left into 3N01 2.0 miles

(Arrastre Flat is about 0.3miles in on the right side).

The GPS co-ords I have are N34 18.170 W116 51.885

Distance are approx. but close.

Confirmation?
This should be it

I made it up to SLO, a bit longer than I was expecting but I did take a little detour... Got to love CA gas prices!!?? :pat:

I want to thank everyone that came out! I had a blast with everyone and I'm glad it turned out so well. I feel bad for the TTORA guys getting broken up but in a way it was a huge help to us as the trails were nice and empty. I hope everyone made it back safe and sound and I can't wait until next time! :bigclap:

My buddy and I finally made it up to big bear around 2:30 am but we couldn't find anyone when we got there We stayed up till about 4 am drinking and making general bafoons of ourselves in the middle of nowhere, and slept in late and missed the 8am meeting I've never been up there before and the trails were awesome! Only damage done was a few scratches and I popped one of my revos. Anyone want to buy three used revos for cheap? lol. Hope everyone had a great weekend.
