Hey guys
Just got in from packing the Runner. Ready to Rock!

The YT camp site sounds like more of a necessity than a want. It is just seeming too big. The site TTORA had last year was great but I do not see it handling the numbers we are talking about this year. So I think we are doing to best thing for both groups. We can still go hang with them Sat evening and Sun.

Mark, give me a buzz when you are near my area. Since I suspect you will be passing thru around the sametime we can caravan up so atleast we both don't get lost a few minutes apart in BB.

Ryan/Austin -
Did you get my mail w/ the BB maps and Adventure Pass? It should have already arrived if not arrive tomorrow so make sure you check your mail! If it never arrives, just buzz me as I have a REI across the street from me so I can pick another one up for Austin.

Thanks!

Not since yesterday. I've been stuck at work all day (I'm still there) so hopefully my roommate checked the mail and set it on the counter for me when I get home tomorrow. I didn't know you were hooking us up with Adventure Passes, though! :bigclap:

Ok. I see how it is Lance!

I could use an adventure pass though, since its looking that we won't be able to buy one from the discovery center before 5pm.

I know 2N09 to 3N16 should be a walk in the park but once off the main road to 3N32 it may become a challenge. I'm not sure the exact location of the campsite but it looks to be by the 3N16 and 3N32 junction.
I think that should be 3N09 right? (Van Dusen Canyon Road)

Takes you into Holcomb Valley where you turn right onto 3N16 then left at 3N32 which links to 3N10 (John Bull Trail).

I'm trying to locate the campsite on my topo now. 3N32 is only about 1.25miles long I think so it should not be too hard to find.

Ok, on my topo maps it shows Arrastre Flat as off 3N01.

Therefore, using the trail numbers, it should be...

Hwy 38 turn left into 3N09 (Van Dusen Canyon) Reset trip meter to 0.

3N09 turn right into 3N16 (Holcomb Valley Rd) 3.8miles

3N16 turn left into 3N01 2.0 miles

(Arrastre Flat is about 0.3miles in on the right side).

The GPS co-ords I have are N34 18.170 W116 51.885

Distance are approx. but close.

Confirmation?

Mark, either one will do. 2N09 is the one that is closer to the Discovery Center so I'm used to that road but I am familiar with the 3N09 trail too. Coming to think about it the 3N09 to 3N16 would be closer off the 38 coming from the backside. Good catch!

Yeah looks like 2N09 is about 5.3miles vs 3N09 which is about 3.8 miles, to 3N16 (Holcomb Valley Rd.)

I can't recall the difference tho between the conditons of the two roads. 3N09 is certainly straighter.
