Lance,
Me and Charles are leaving tonight from Santa Clarita. We were hoping to meet up with you and caravan up. Is there a time frame and a spot we could meet up. It wouldn't matter if it was in the LA area or out towards San Berdo.

Matt,

There may be a good chance that I'll be meeting up other members so we can definitely meet up at a good spot. I'm thinking Ontario Mills parking lot but not in the mall itself. There is a gas station on the corner of 4th street and North Rochester Ave / Ontario Mills Drive. How about we gather there?

The earliest I can be there is 830. Does that work for everyone? I know Mark will be heading out of the valley at 7pm so lets try to get everyone there around that time.

remember Channel 10 on your cb!!!

Chuckie has my number so he can call me if you guys get lost!

Charles,
I stopped by Eric's yesterday at noon and he had it ready to go by the garage door when he started packing so he should have it with him!

Lance,
We got the mail (thanks!)

Those leaving SD pm me for the address of the meeting place. Blacksheep's place is right off the hiway and the most northern place so we are going to be meeting there at 2pm. call me for the address! eight two eight, five four five, six nine five three!

Austin,

When you guys leave, can you ask Ryan if he needs an Adventure Pass? If yes, I can get one on the way home for him.

Thanks!

Quick question: I have a dealer installed supercharger on my truck with not supporting fuel mods (to poor right now to get them :cry I will be getting them soon though, but not soon enough to go on this trip! I am down in LA and I drive very conservatively to try and prevent causing any damage to my engine. Should I be concerned since I will being going up quite a bit in elevation? I really want to go, but I don't want to put my 4Runner at to much risk.. What do you guys think? If I continue to drive conservatively even at altitude should I be ok?

not having the fuel mods is not a deal breaker. You just have to make sure you drive carefully and not drive WOT all the time. Just suck down the premium and call it a day.

Sounds good to me. If I'm early, I'll wait. If I'm late, I'll be in contact and you might want to head out.

Thanks

830 at Ontario Mills works for me. It'll give me time to get gas (costco across the street) and eat dinner at one of the crap joints. Mark if you're running late, just buzz us and if it's not too late I don't mind waiting up for ya. I'm really in no rush to get up there alone

Here is another FYI for those driving late tonight. If you plan on taking the 38 up the hill, you will likely be on the 10 east. Caltrans shuts one or sometimes two of the eastbound lanes of the 10 just east of the 10/30 interchange for overnight construction. This sometimes makes traffic (even late at night) really bad (especially on Friday). As an alternate to the bad section of the 10, take the 30 toward Highland but get off at the first exit San Bernardino Avenue. At the bottom of the ramp turn left (east). Stay on San Bernardino for about a mile until you come to Orange Street where you will turn right (south). Another 3/4 of a mile and will reach Lugonia where you will turn left (east) and Lugonia becomes the 38.

TTORA EVENT CANCELLED PER FOREST SERVICE

It seems that their event has been shut down due to the overwhelming number of vehicles attending. Luckily we should still be able to do our own thing as we were scheduled to our own thing anyway. Due to the recent incident, we must all make sure that we all carry our Adventure Passes with us.

Any of you going up early please call me with a status update.

Ok so what are the plans for saturdays dinner? We all going to go eat a resturant? I have two BBQs and a 2 burner stove. But I wont be bringing them up if I am not going to use them.

Austin I could bring one but it wouldn't be up there till 10:30 ish.

Matt, I'm thinking since we have such a small group we can go into town and do a group dinner. I say we play this by ear. I'll be packing light anyway (no cookingware this time) so. MRE's all the way
