I did get the trailer situated, toolbox mounted etc...now I gotta get to work on the 85 in the final countdown to Tellico.

Glad to hear you're OK Brian. Good thing you were carrying your lucky wabbit's foot...

Turns out the tire I need is in Boone NC, not Charlotte. Still working on it. Zman2day & I are working out a deal if needed. Is there anyone who can mount a 39.5 tire locally if I lose one?

1985...there is a shop at Crawford's and a 4x4 shop on the start of the road just outside of Murphy that you take to Crawford's. I'd still bring a spare.

Ankle is much better this morning...and not swollen...so I think I'm good. That booger was sore as a risen last night...it sucks getting old.

I boogered a diff fill plug last night...argh...wasted all my time getting that dang thing off...but I got one diff armor welded on.

Don't swap new trucks, you'll die. Swap a 3rd Gen, now that is work. This old stuff is silly easy to work on.

M18 tap. Clean it up.

The funny part is I was taking the old OEM diff plug out to weld on the diff armor (to drain the diff) and so I could put on the new plugs...it musta known it was fixing to die or something. I finally hammered a 23mm socket on it and got it off.

Finishing up some minor welding, cleaning up the doors, ARB plumbing/wiring and other assorted things...so things are going as planned.

That's actually alot better, Andy(ASURunner) and David go to school in Boone and are coming down from there to meet me, they're the ones bringing a trailer(maybe)? so they still might be able to help you out.

Next time weld a bolt to the plug and unscrew it.

No hardcore stuff...no sliders or bumpers...

There won't be a next time...nice new allen wrench style plugs installed and torqued properly.

Yes, me too. I'm just gonna hang out at Fains Ford and become a "mountain man". Maybe I'll go to the top of Guardrail when I need to make a cell phone call!

Unless it's storming on Wednesday, then I will be there late Wednesday night!

I'm pretty excited that we can do 8 again.

Me too, I wanted to go to the top of large stuff and watch everyone come up, but I was not willing to do #8 again, that mud too me over 5hrs of cleaning to get out of my truck.

Well yeah, I wanted to do that on Friday, then Saturday head to the top of Gaurdrail. OR....I might just do Slickrock both days. Depends what group I'm with/leading and how daring everyone is willing to be. If you and I were together then we could just do Slickrock in reverse so it'll actually be a challenge.

To watch the top of Guardrail you'll either have to go up Schoolbus, or go up Guardrail, or go up 3 and get past Pinchrock (I have seen and not doable unless you have no disregard for body damage). I plan on wheeling my rig Friday and then Saturday I'm not sure, I may ride with Marc on the hard stuff.

Yeah I might do the same, find someone to ride up the big stuff with, if they NEED a group leader I'll drive, but the idea right now is to ride on Sat. and let Jeremy or Chris drive my rig Saturday.
