like there is even the most remote chance of that happening...

I bet I break a birf in the first hour & have to watch all you guys have the fun.
I am actually going to probably stay off the F4 trails due to current rig setup anyway. I don't want to be "that guy" who breaks something & holds everybody up. I am looking to get to know my rigs limits & what I want to do with my build, as well as input from you guys on site.
still working on the brakes & looking for a spare. I might have found a trade for my 39.5s to 35s, wondering if I should...

Well, with 35's you shouldn't break anything like a birf (anything is possible). Zman has an '85 and did Slickrock, Guardrail, Helicopter Pad, and School Bus with no problems with 5.29 gears, dual detroits, and 37" MTR's.

Oops, wait a minute, I just remembered you have a V8. Get some Longfields if you don't have them already.

hmm....I got a set of 39.5 Irok's sitting in my garage (no they wont be on for SE4RJ this year..) Way too much trimming/cutting to get them to fit correctly.

I'd be interested to see how they work for you...I'm wondering if they really are TOO much tire or not.

If you decide to "part" with them...let me know...my 85 has PLENTY of room for them.

SE4RJ3 banner arrived yesterday...and I'm picking up my trailer this morning.

What in the world are you going to pull this thing with?

Personally if the truck can't drive it self there and back, it's not for me.

That's what onboard air, spare parts and ready welders are for.

I guess I don't get it?

I towed it "home" with my Dad's ext cab Silverado all the way from NC...and it was a lot "heavier" then. It won't be a problem.

Change of plans, We're leaving Thursday night at around 9pm & drive all night, & catch a catnap when we get there. There will only be two of us, unless I find somebody that wants to go.
I found a 39.5 bogger spare in Charlotte, but I can't get up there to get it. I can pay a transport fee to any Charlotte YT'er who can pick it up & meet me at Tellico with it.

Yeah Andy and Rob ar right, the High Point, Greensboro area, I drove down to Charlotte as a favor to Brian to get his doors for the last trip. I would gladly do the same for your tire, but I'm crunched for space with my stuff adn two guys riding with me. Sorry bro.

I think that DHwitter(sp) guy lives in Charlotte, see if he'll have any room. If he can at least get it to Asheville and meet us all there like we're planning, we can strat it to Andy's trailer for the rest of the way.

Just had a close one...stepped in a hole...ALMOST broke my left ankle...and it is kinda hard to drive a manual w/ a broke left ankle. I'm sure my neighbors thought it hilarious to see a grown man rolling around in the yard screaming in pain...it is only probably half as sore as it is gonna be in morning from being still all night.

I did get the trailer situated, toolbox mounted etc...now I gotta get to work on the 85 in the final countdown to Tellico.
