trade ya. i wheel the SS 44Runner up Martinez and you wheel my bitch up Slickrock... seriously. if you wanna, you can.

$177 round trip from Phoenix into Nashville and back.
Martinez may be over your head, I'll give you Upper Woodpecker. Although if you want to try Martinez, you can but hand it back over if it's too hard.

i'm not going to break your junk. i trust you. if you don't feel right about it, then i wouldn't push it.

slickrock is cake. no worries except for the top ledge where we'll all have to winch more than likely - except mr. webwheeler on 37's.

check that post i made again. delta into knoxville is about $325 and change and you wouldn't need a rental to drive to knoxville (or tellico). nashville is a 2 hour drive from here to the west. tellico is 2 hours to the south from here. you can bunk in the cabin w/ me and brian so you won't need camping stuff. it's reasonable and nice and quiet for us old farts to get plenty of sleep.

I'll polish my 3 teeth and wear my shoes w/o holes in them for the occasion.

You can fly into Bham early Thursday and I can pick ya up and we can get there Thursday afternoon. I have to drive right through Bham anyway on the way. Or get Andy to as he mentioned and get there later on...just pick your poison.

Just let somebody know what you decide.

Welcome aboard.

My finals are, I'm going to try and head out Thursday so I can get some more trail time in on Friday w/ less traffic.

I think you need to back up the talk and bring the SS 4Runner to the East coast and show us "hillbilles" what she can do. This will be your first trip wheel'n in the East it might as well be with your rig.

This trip is going to be great, I hope not everyone bails out at the last minute like usual, hopefully with all this stuff going on people will make a way to be there despite the obstacles.

Just so you realize, if your wife comes along and wants to be able to eat Saturday night at the catered meal and be part of the raffle...she'll need to register to. Just making sure you realize that if she does come along.

I got your PayPal and I'm adding you now.

It takes over a day to cross Texas alone.

I was at the EC4RJ in 2002. We'll see what Andy says next month.

Although I would make the drive for Tellico, not for GWNF.

I do realiuze, Thanks
I figured IF she comes, I doubt she will eat the food. No offense, she is just picky and we are trying to figure out what foods mess with Asher's stomach, so.....If she does come I will send another $15 for the raffle.

Can't wait to get out in the woods.

Oh and Steve, you would crazy if you drove for GWNF. It is more of a playground, epecailly being so close, but that is about all.......
She you guys soon

OK. that should be your plan Steve. SW flies into b'ham and that will be your cheapest option...

PHX-SDF-BHM = Phoenix 8:05am - arrive 2:30pm Louisville depart 3:15pm - arrive BHM 3:20pm - all on Thursday, May 11.

BHM-PHX = leave Birmingham at 4:40pm on Sunday, May 14, and you're back home at 6:30pm.

$255.90 is the total damage for that. not bad at all.

Eric

My wife Monica is going - she won't wheel with me. Monica and I have 6 kids and 5 grandchildren - 2 more on the way this year. If your wife wants to ride - Monica would love to keep the baby. It's a grandmaw thing !

We will be in the pop-up camper - plenty of room for baby stuff. That should help convince your wife to come.

Hope to see everybody there !

Doc, you are awesome.

Brandon wants to come, it is that we are still geting used to our son, so making plans for her now is a little advanced, but she wants to come.

My hope is she wants to get out so badly it forces her in the car with me--at least to get there. I say sitting in the woods (peace and quiet) is better than the city.

i even offered to rent a pop-up and haul it down there.

i will let here know of the offer as I remind her at least twice a day

eric, there's also tons of cabins in the area for rent. just check "tellico ORV murphy cabin rental" as a google/yahoo search (you'll want one near Tellico ORV on the Murphy, NC, side and NOT near Tellico Plains, TN)and you'll have tons of options. don't try to camp w/ the baby. you'll need a roof over your head - a popup is a minimum.

daytime temps will more than likely be low 70's for highs and down into the 40's at night. it could be cold - like in the upper 50's in the day and 30's at night if we get a front in just before the trip. remember also that you'll be at about 1500'-1600' elevation at camp and in Murphy, so make sure to prepare for that w/ some ear drops, etc for pain just in case.

3:20 in bhm would put you at about 7:30-8:00 at camp, but staying in a cabin, so it shouldn't be a big deal. that's the earliest SW flight into bhm on the 11th. only other SW options would be to come in on the 10th and stay somewhere, or fly delta into knoxville and i'll pick you up. delta is another $75 though. i won't be there before thur nite anyway - have to work a full day on thur. we'll still have all day friday & saturday to wheel. brian is used to getting there and having to set up camp. all he has to do for a cabin is just take his bag and cooler in and he's done. alot less packing (no stove, tent, etc) = alot less unloading.

http://www.tellicocabinrentals.com/4...tured_Listings

anyone that can deal with a 4 month old ismore than welcome to share a cabin. I am still not 100% if my wife and son are coming.....I am going to reserve the cabin anyways

hmmm. those cabins are nice and super affordable.
I might just bring the dogs and make a real vacation out of it PLus no camper, camping gear, etc.
