Hey guys, I hope this is the correct thread, but anyways, last September I was on the search for my first truck. I wanted a first gen but couldn't find one in my price range so I settled for my 91 3.0. I am now on the search for a 1st gen and I found one but to get it, I would have to sell my truck and go up to Shasta (the truck is actually in oregon) to get it. The one thing I am concerned about is what if it is to good to be true and I decide to not get it, I am now car-less. I was wondering if you guys had any advise on this situation and I was wondering if there was possibly someone in Eugene willing to go check it out for me? So, are you planning on selling your current 4Runner before you even go look at the other one?

 

It sounds crazy but he doesn't want to make two trips, that's why I was wondering if there was anyone in that area willing to check it out.

well see some how I clicked on the wrong city in the listings, his house is probably about 8 hours away, that's why I said he could meet in Shasta. That makes the most sense but that's a lot of gas.

 

I would rather be out some gas than a car.

If you are set on doing this, I would at least ask for a lot more pictures.

 

Yea, I was looking around about a month ago but then something came up so I had to wait a while before I could look again. I found this truck last time and and he said he understands my concern and was willing to take lots of pics of everything so I felt more comfortable. Still not as good as looking at it my self but better than nothing. I wanted to ask him for some videos of like the startup, under the hood, windows and stuff like that. I sent him an email asking a couple questions so hopefully he'll get back to me soon
