Very cool!

I'll check in intermittantly, but if you could pose a question for me: how are they dealing with steering?

The FJ is rack and pinion correct? It looked like they dropped the steering rack when the dropped the IFS cross member, so what are they replacing it with? A steering box and linkage, or are they planning to fab up some ki nd of franken rack?

my guess would be an 86-95 pickup or 4runner steering box. fab up a mounting plate like you do to do cross over steering on pre-86 trucks and do high steer
edit: if you look at the picture of the new axles, the front axle has high steer knuckles, so im goin with that
edit edit: and its high pinon and e-locked

I saw this on another forum. Sounds like there are three SAS FJ's in progress. Gotta admire someone who can take $30K plus '07 and void the warranty right away
I wish I had the wallet for something like this....

Miss FJ over there is also going SAS'y
http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...oject-sfa.html

I am sure some of you have seen her vid I linked over here of her going on Hells Gate in Moab.
Her rig was totally stock right down to the cheap factory tires, and she made it up with ease.

In the thread, he states that he's not voiding the warranty by doing this.
