Cigarette lighter not working 95 T100

Hey all,

I've searched around the site and found some info about this issue for 4runners, pickups, and Tacomas, but couldn't find a post about it for the t100. It's a new truck to me so I'm just finding my way around everything. Where could I find the fuse for this beast, and is it labeled anywhere? I've also seen lots of talk about a fusible link right behind the socket itself, is that the case with the t100 as well? If so do I need to pull off the front dash to get to it?

Thanks much!

it could be one of two things.

1) The fuse

2) the wire on the back of the aux. plug. They usually burn up when putting high output products in them. Such as a air mattress pump ( burned mine up a few times ) They're relatively simple to fix. its just a little 12-14 gauge wire on the back of it.

3) buy a new plug.

T-100 didn't come with an aux plug. We were stuck with just the cig outlet.

Bam, where is that fuse box in your pic? I looked in my driver's kick panel and behind the battery and neither have a cig fuse named.

Driver's kick panel...it should be a 15A fuse (blue) in the middle of the bottom row. It won't be named...since the names are on the door...which you probably don't have.

Mine ended up not working because of #2 on what Mak said. After a little wiring fix, it was working again.

Mine ended up being even simpler than that -- previous owner forget to connect the plug when he was working on it.

Ok, the fuse looks fine. Going back to Mak's #2 fix, I've pulled out the ashtray and the panel below it but I don't see how to get behind the plug to check that wiring. Any tips?

You have to pull the radio bezel off and then remove the radio and tray (4 screws). You should be able to see the wiring then.
