Where is the relay for rear window

Where is the relay for the window on a 1995 4 runner I did the search thing but nothing said exactly where it is I did all the tests and am pretty sure that is what's not working and am just going to go to Toyota and buy a new one but want to know where it is so I can figure out how to get it out and replace it. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Left rear quarter panel, under the big interior panel, just behind the black storage box.

You will have to remove the interior quarter trim panel to get to it.

In my reading on some of the help forums or pages the guys that tried to replace some of the electrical parts like switchs and I think I recall even the relays that were replaced with wrecking yard units didn't last very long or work much better then the ones they were replacing that had intermitent problems I just didn't want to have to replace it again once I figure out how to do it. Is that black storage box hard to remove it doesn't look like it just pops out. Again any help appreciated

Ok just for comparison do you know how much roughly Toyota sells it for if I can even get it from them and is your new or is it used and if used do you have a guess as to if it will work as well or as long as a new one. Thanks in advance.

I know for a fact that toyota sells them for well over $150. Mine is used and works well. I have used it to test on other vehicles so I know it works. No reason it shouldn't work as long as a new one. Besides at my price, even if it went out down the road sometime, you could buy several of them for the price of one new one

From Toyotapartssales.com: 8593089105 MSRP: $404.26 Price: $291.65

BTW 2nd gen 4Runners used two different relay boxes, depending on the year. 90-5/92 used a black box, not 100% sure the part number. 6/92-95 used a blue relay box, again not sure of the part number.

Make sure the part numbers match exact, the two different boxes DO NOT interchange!

I have a pickup so I can't help with the window but you may get a better response if you start a new thread so more folks will see your question. Take care,
Bugs

You take the interior pieces out and unscrew the motor assembly and then the window and you move the tracks into the position you want the window to sit you might need 2 people one to push the button and one to hold the window got to do it slowly and do it right so you dont have to deal with it again hope i was some help
