I've always heard "say no" to any HID kits off Ebay.. Try going to a local shop that sells them, you'd be better off there

I see alot of people use the ddm kits. If you google ddm hid you should find the web sight. also seems most people say the slim ballasts are better quality

i used an ebay kit for like 55 bucks. worked great except the wiring and relays sucked and the relay for the lights and high beam pull in fried so i has to re wire it. the bulbs and ballasts are still good after 4 years so id say do it its cheap enough. and if all else fails just use the bulbs and ballasts and fab the rest

Install a set of these projectors in some cheap ebay housings. You get what you pay for with the cheap HID kits...and running HIDs in reflector housings designed for halogen bulbs isn't much of an upgrade. Note that the ebay 'projector' housings are NOT real projectors. My $.02.

If you insist on HID and just want the 'cool' HID look, just get some H4 conversion housings and an HID kit. Plug & play.

If you want an upgrade, get some Autopal or Hella H4 housings and some QUALITY halogen bulbs. Also plug & play. I highly recommend 4crawler's wiring harness upgrade if you stick with halogen, especially if you run high wattage bulbs.

The only thing better than Autopal or Hella housings and good halogen bulbs is the HID true projector kit I listed above, but it requires some modification to the housings.

No. The stock connector plugs right into H4 bulbs.

If you're going for cheap, it doesn't get much cheaper than ebay.

I just saw your other thread on this...instead of posting multiple threads asking the same questions, try searching. If you can't find what you're looking for, create one thread.

Good luck, welcome to YotaTech, and let us know how the HIDs turn out.
