back window doesnt work
#2
Can't say for sure if they are the same, but on my '91 the back window stopped working because the track popped off. Window would still try to come up/down but the power would stop before it got too far. [safety feature?]
I searched far and wide for new regulator guides...even tried to have anew back window installed by 'Little Red Truck'. They use the existing guides...
Finally went to salvage yard and bought new/better back window with good guides, seems the guides normally rusted out and the little regulator wheel would pop out.
So now I have a nice back window [had to buy the whole thing] in the garage just waiting to have a use for it!
The window regulator/assembly is a PITA to work on but it can be done. If you can get the window down you have half the battle won. You can access the regulator through the panel in the tailgate and usually pull the window down enough to lower the gate, then it's just getting into it to work.

I had a similar problem, my wiper worked ect. but the window would not go up or down, after messing with the wiper in the back i found that if the wiper would not go back up to the little magnet that holds it up, the window would not move, i just put the wiper above the little black magnetic "catcher" and it seemed to work fine, i dont know if there is a sensor that wont let it move when the wiper is down but i have not had a problem since. Kind of makes sense (you cant roll window up or down with the wiper going) so i figured it was a sensor, good luck hope this helps some

well it can be a whole bunch of things.
you are testing with key in the on position if you are using the console switch.
Yes there is a safety switch on the wiper if that is open it will not work.
Did you lock the widow or has the lock switch failed in the open position.
It will not move in either direction from the key switch on the rear hatch or the rocker switch correct.
It can be broken wires in the area of where they go in the hatch . a failed motor a failure of any of the switches a bad relay a bad ground .
You just have to start some where and see if the motor works jumper a hot wire to it and go from there .
If you need wire colors I have the Electrical manual if you need more help pm me
