my '90 ifs pickup had almost as much flex on 31's as my '95 wrangler on 31's ,and would go twice as far in the mud and on trails. and as i learned jeep stands for just empty every pocket my yotas never break.

I totally understand auto trannies: they were developed for people who aren't coordinated

My '97 Cherokee (bought new) was only in the shop 17-19 times for warranty work in the first 3 years. That sold me on their quality

They replaced that automatic at 22K miles...the 4.0 never really gave me any trouble, it was just the rest of the vehicle...

let me reiterate- i didnt buy my truck with the intent to wheel

... now being on here and finding out that its the most popular use for these things i figure why not (just gatta stay away from mud- the truck has been kept way to clean for 15 yrs for me to go n mess it up now)

and i am by far the superior driver, everything that truck as seen (besides dirt roads) i have been behind the wheel, everything done on the jeep i put on/ fixed, the only part of that truck that makes it his is the fact that he paid me back for it after i purchased it and he drives it everyday- does that clear it up a bit?
