Lockright Locker vs Lockright no-slip

That's probably about it. The main difference is the design of the lockers and the No-slip uses the SynTRAC system which is a newer design that reduces the sound of the clutch engagements of the locker, therefore making it quieter. Both are easy drop in lunchbox lockers.

yeah the No-slip is alot better on road. It uses SynTrac tech which makes it managable on the road, well more managable. I used to have a full detroit and I HATED it on the road, loved it off road though. If I was you I'd pay the extra 100 bucks, its worth it too me....

I know this thread is old, but I was looking at the no slip diff, and that is definately what I want to use since my runner is a DD, anybody know where I can get the best price on one of these, and from what I hear they are pretty easy to install, will it be ok with my TRAC ssystems too?

hey...I have the regular lockright in my 93 v6 auto, and on-road, it is honestly pretty dang transparent. I dont really notice it at all. And when listening to music or whatever, you cant even hear the clicking. the only time I notice it onroad is if I goose it turing in an intersection. Other than that, no probs. Id say go for the regular.

As far as I know, they only offer a 2 pinion locker for 4 cyl. diffs. Once again, the best bet is to just swap a 4cyl (2 pinion) diff. It seems like all the smoother lunchbox lockers (aussie, no slip) are made for the two pinion.

I have heard of shops talking people out of buying the no-slip, saying they have had problems with them...
My lockright is fine on the road. I spent tons of time on the hwy and in the city..

i have a lock right in the rear of my 81.... i've seen ZERO issues with on road handling. that seen both sunny days and rain. (no snow yet...) it does make some funky noises when you quickly pull into a parking spot but other than that its not bad

What are the differences? I heard the no-slip has better on-road manners but I can't justify the extra 100 bucks or more.
