I read all the posts I could find, watched several videos, none addressed what to do with the line that runs from the VSV on the AC idle up valve over to the airbox? Everyone says to get rid of the little secondary box where that hose connects…but it appears it is indeed still needed? Can I just remove the secondary box and connect the idle up hose directly to the main airbox? For reference, this is the vsv and idleup valve I am referring to, it is to the front of the vehicle of the other vsvs for pair, fuel press reg, and EGR…

I’ll just answer my own question in the event that anyone else has the same concern. I took off the little triangular airbox still and connected the larger port on the idle up valve directly to the air box with a cap that I drilled to accept a 3/8 barbed union and connected the hose to from the idle up valve. It’s not glamorous but it works for now…I’ll tidy it up eventually…or not!

 

HI hey are there any more pics you could post regarding the vacuum line routing on the passenger side of the engine. Also OK, so you pulugged the opening on the air cleaner and put a nipple on it that then fed over to the passenger side. On the a/c idle unit which of the two larger hoses there did you feed the new line into? And the old line you just capped at the manifold? I suspect a few pcs would address my questions. I did an egr delete, seriously thinned down the vacuum lines on passener side, removed triangular air box and now there is no idle change when a/c button is pushed in. AND to make it worse this is for a Winnebago model that we drive around the country in and the wife is giving me the stink eye.

Here are some more pics I just took. I took a sequence from the little box I removed over to the idle up valve. You can also see what vacuum ports on the intake I capped and the line from the carbon canister that I kept in place. Let me know if you need any more pics.

 

Seriously I can NOT thank you enough for your time and the pictures.
Last night at midnight the wife was reading me the riot act around midnight in part about how I was letting the RV repairs languish. Life sucked.
Then today we got word that mother in law may need heart operation ASAP, so im sitting there wondering how im going to get the RV (our home) back to Indiana. Life was sucking there too.
But ya put a smile on the old mans face and gave me tomorrows projects. Seriously you have no idea how much I needed this and appreciate the hail mary. Cheers, -John
