IFS vs SAS

that is Solid Axle at left correct? I just want to be sure.
Is it safe to say that the IFS rig has slightly more ground clearance at the axle itself?
It appears the front diff hangs lower on the SAS rig. Perhaps it is just the angle.

IFS has more clearance at ride height or when the suspension is drooped, but less when the suspension is compressed. One of the biggest advantages to a SFA for rock crawling is that the clearance is constant - when the tire goes up the obstacle, so does the diff.
MANY solid front axle rigs are LESS stable on off-camber situations due to soft springs and a higher COG. Many things come to play in this equation and the axle type is one of the most minor ones. Track width, COG height, and shock/spring setup are way more important.

I beg to differ
my ifs rig did not have a dif hanging and i do not ever recall ever getting hung up on the front axlle components like i do with my SFA rig I have now.
I agree when the ifs rigs suspension is compressed the clearances are lessoned
I do not agree with the stabilty debate I have seen many ifs rigs on there side or on there top including mine on mild obstacles and I have never seen an ifs rig that can play in this rock garden
