to all with ARB lockers

Where can I find detailed installation info with pictures? When you bought your locker, did it come with the air tank and compressor as a kit or did you have to buy it separately? If so, where did you get it?

Thanks for answering my newb ARB questions, but I have searched all I could think of (usually when I ask someone posts a link of where to find the answers, and how truly easy it was to find).

Sigh. Nobody loves me.

Sorry if you already saw this and it wasn't what you were looking for.

I run a compact compressor. It was sold separately. I do not run an air tank.

the manual that comes with the arb is pretty good. between that and the paperwork that came with my gears i was able to install my rear arb and regear to 4.88's. i have a mv50 compressor (search about it), a viair 1\2 gallon reservoir which is basically used as a manifold for my pressure switch, relay, fitting for the air hose for airing tires, and the locker solenoid. the compressor and tank are all mounted under the hood.

I have ARBs front and rear. The instructions included are good for your install and wiring. I say a tech article this month on an ARB install in some mag and Ike's write up is good too.

I have on my system:
ARBs front and rear
2.5 gallon ViAir tanks
Extreme Aire Outback compressor - 100% duty cycle for running air tools and airing up tires
Slee manifold
Pressure switches, gauges, quick connects and valves
Custom wiring with solenoid, relays and circuit breakers

Let me know if you have any questions.

It's not that hard to install.

All the ARB compressors have a small tank built into them.

Look around, there are many places offering package deals, buy the lockers, get the compressor for free.

just fitted one in the rear on my truck and used the arb compressor but fitted an air chuck aswell for airing up the tyres.
i did the installation my self and fitted new 5.29's aswell and it wasn't to difficult the trick is to take it one bit at a time.

the link goes through the installation and set up of a arb locker
http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/tech/gear_setup/

the only snag i had was the air hole ine the locker body was blocked so it wouldnt engage so i had to take the end of the locker of and blow it out and a small piece of rubber came out, then it engageg.
there is lots of infoe here and on the net that will help you
