What breaks??

my 85 ford bronco had that D44 in it and I beat the heck out of it. Now granted it was a stock truck on 31's, but punishment from a 351 HO motor and 31's is far more than a 22re and 35's can do to it.

Depends on what your using the truck for if you play in the rocks or tight trails and wheel by throttle with lockers and gears might be time to look for a D60. Yes I've seen D60s powered by 22re. If you play in the mud with open difs probably won't ever break anything.
A D44 can be built too. Just depends what you want and your budget.

Well im gonna use it for wheeling about 40% of the time, but not alot of mud cause theirs no where to go around here :/ But ill usually go to ether Pillsbury, Cow mountain, or my friends 15 acre back yard
And my budget is basically how nice my mom is feeling at the time hahah
